Very smooth!!! I took a news class and could not for the life of me get through my copy without stumbling, yet while on-air back announcing music I could do it cold with no problem.
Yeah man, So let me ask you. Your wrote it, right? Also, during crunch time (how long does it last in radio, in TV it's about 2 hours befor show), how many time did you practice? I guess what I'm asking is how "cold" was the copy?
Nice Job, good clean air check. My VO work is never LIVE! I'm not ready for that length of copy...
In this studio, I used mostly AP wire. My other reporting job includes more writing and some stations need almost 3 minutes of content.
In this situation at this station, I have already recorded this cast twice for other stations so I know the content, but when I record the first cast, I usually read it cold.
When I am reporting from home, I write most of the items I use so I already know the content.
Ah, I love seeing a professional studio. I miss my days working in radio. If it weren't that it was such a small station that I was doing way more sales than I was doing on air work, I would still be there.
By any chance.....Did you work at 93 WHFM "The Giant" in Springfield Mass ??

I like your news delivery; it's very soft spoken but authoritative. Sounds like you are right in the car with the listener. GREAT STUFF!!!

Great job! Your studio reminds me a bit of my old digs at KNX.
