Actually Il Divo themselve have said that they won't do actual arias/pieces from opera because they don't want to upset the "opera purists" who would dislike them for ruining classics by adapting such songs for four voices.

Kind of a pity, but there ARE enough versions of whatever-they-may-do out there already. That's why I like Il Divo - I don't hear the same old opera arias by them done a millions times before.

Unlike the other Divos, David DOES look much better out of a suit.

He always photographs terribly when wearing one. All the more relaxed photos of him are better.

And of course he doesn't look as good now as he does here - is because he is simply older. As you can see - he is a fair bit younger here!

Según tengo entendido David es un tenor lírico, aunque yo me atrevería a asegurar que es lírico ligero ( no soy experta pero es como a mi me suena)

When did he perform this? Before Il Divo, right? I am afraid he is wasting his gorgeous voice in Il Divo. With more training, he will be really a Divo in a major opera production in the world, though I would feel sad for Il Divo to split. I wish to hear and see his Werther role with no microphone. I know he did 'Werther' before Il Divo. I love operatic voice! He is a good tenor, actor, and beauty. stsnck

I don't know exactly about the filming of the live production but according to one of the opera sites he performed Rigoletto in 1999.
