69. To disrupt the Sangha, Devadatta asked the Buddha to make stricter rules of conduct for the Sangha. He asked that monks not be allowed to sleep in houses or eat any meat. @kao1306 All am saying is, 1-2 animals/year for one human 100 years ago, to 100 animals/years today. I doubt God is smiling about what we do to his animals. And, i doubt, that what humankind has done to earth and our fellow earthlings is something Bible say yes to..
