It doesn't really matter if the bike is brand spanking new or not. But I don't advice buying a brand new bike if you haven't had experience riding before (or if you can't shift yet).

I started on an old bike, and now it looks brand new, and it now has a 125CC engine I upgraded the engine myself and put new plastics on and resprayed the frame so it looks more modern.

good for a first time on a 2 stroke. the first 2 stroke i rode was an 01 kx85. it was also the first time i ever rode a clutch and i kept stalling the thing. the only dirt bike i ever rode before then was a 90 4 stroke and when i finally did get the 85 moving i almost flipped it back on myself. now i ride an 07 kx250f and will never go back to anything that doesnt have a clutch.

Yeah, pretty much any 2-stroke engine is faster than a 4-stroke. 2-strokes are designed for speed and 4-strokes are designed more for climbing and torque. Just to give you an idea, a 100cc 2-stroke is comparable to a 200cc (maybe 250cc) 4-stroke. Its just the way they are designed. 2-strokes have more firing cycles and run at way higher RPM's.

I know i dont have any videos but its kind of hard to go and take a video right now seeing how its winter and theres 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground.
