Castlevania Curse of Darkness - Baljhet Mountains

God I loved curse of darkness, my favorite 3d one so far. I loved Lords of Shadow, this one is just so amazing to me. It had My favorite Dracula, favorite Belmont that actually looks like me, weird I know, and some of the most memorable music.

@alxxz It's fairly linear in that you really don't go to different levels out of order, mostly because you can't. But there are a large number of secrets to be solved, mostly with the help of your Innocent Devils (a kind of sidekick with different uses). Often you will have to pass up a secret or two and come back to them because you don't have the right kind of ID at the time.

So, is Curse of Darkness a small & linear game? Or is it long, non-linear like Symphony of the NIght with a lot of exploration & secrets to be solved?

I can’t say I liked GOW, so if this the same deal, I think I’ll pass…

And most importantly is this actually a “CastleVania” game?

@alxxz Very linear, gameplay is different from Lord of Shadow, it's pretty basic, and it definitely doesn't feel like a CV game, even if it is by name. It's not a terrible game, but in comparison to all other CV's, this is probably among my bottom 3. Worth a try though.

Does anyone else think that Hector is Alucard in a disguise? They both have summon creatures, this is a sequel to CV3, and they  look similar (remember that SotN is way after CV3)

you make a point. I can't say for sure, but he did pose as Genya Arikado in Sorrow. If it would be true, I wonder why he wouldn't use his abilities in symphony or any other time he fought. also, he doesn't have a last name for all we know...but wouldn't Trevor sorta find this out? I dunno, but that sounds like it could be true.

Thumb you up,you got a point there. It just like he just 'made' himself disappear from the world,but whenever the Dracula about to be reawaken,he poses himself as somebody else in order to just stop Dracula from being awake,(just like Genya Arikado),in all this time,he never stop himself before to stop the Dracula to spread darkness to the world,no matter how many years passed, with strong belief from his beloved mother...and himself.
