@gottakickitup Well I haven't seen Go Radio live yet, but most artists sound worse live. I still love his voice, even if he doesn't have range. I don't see the necessity for it really since these songs still rock. I just think Mayday's new CD was seriously lacking creativity wise. I only really like Anywhere But Here from it. The Silence is alright. Everything else pretty much sucks. Where Go Radio's CD, the singing isn't as great but I love ALL the songs.

Im a fan of both Go Radio AND Mayday Parade(New and Old) but there are some Go Radio song i think would be better if dereks voice was in it too and Mayday Parade songs i think would be better with Jasons voice in it too. @CircaSurvive132 i COMPLETELY agree. old Mayday was fucking amazing. they made some of the best music i've ever heard. their new stuff isn't bad but it's just not the same. it sounds too poppy now. old Mayday needs to get back together and start making the music that everybody knew and loved. they never made a bad song when Jason was still in that band. they were amazing. old Mayday was the most incredible meaningful band i've heard in years.
I definitely like Jason more than Derek. And it shows who the real heart of Mayday was since Go Radio sounds more like Mayday now than Mayday does. Jason doesn't need Mayday, he's awesome on his own. :D
@Eiznekcam4 Because he didn't get credit for writing the songs. He was angry with Derek because of it. Apparently Derek went all diva and said "I can understand if this means we can't be friends," about Jason getting shunted to the side after getting famous.
On the bright side, now we have two wonderful bands very unique from one another. Mayday Parade is inevitably different than it was when Jason was present, but they still produce incredible music. And Go Radio has the perfect combination of beautiful instrumentals and clever, meaningful lyrics. I couldn't be happier that Jason left Mayday Parade; Go Radio is something entirely deeper than probably anything Mayday has ever done.
@27xhaleyruth Pretty much every single early Mayday song. Most notably the acoustic/piano songs like Miserable At Best. I'm pretty sure Anywhere But Here is the only Mayday album Jason isn't on, besides Valdosta of course.

@CircaSurvive132 i COMPLETELY agree. old Mayday was fucking amazing. they made some of the best music i've ever heard. their new stuff isn't bad but it's just not the same. it sounds too poppy now. old Mayday needs to get back together and start making the music that everybody knew and loved. they never made a bad song when Jason was still in that band. they were amazing. old Mayday was the most incredible meaningful band i've heard in years.

I definitely like Jason more than Derek. And it shows who the real heart of Mayday was since Go Radio sounds more like Mayday now than Mayday does. Jason doesn't need Mayday, he's awesome on his own. :D

@Eiznekcam4 Because he didn't get credit for writing the songs. He was angry with Derek because of it. Apparently Derek went all diva and said "I can understand if this means we can't be friends," about Jason getting shunted to the side after getting famous.

On the bright side, now we have two wonderful bands very unique from one another. Mayday Parade is inevitably different than it was when Jason was present, but they still produce incredible music. And Go Radio has the perfect combination of beautiful instrumentals and clever, meaningful lyrics. I couldn't be happier that Jason left Mayday Parade; Go Radio is something entirely deeper than probably anything Mayday has ever done.

@27xhaleyruth Pretty much every single early Mayday song. Most notably the acoustic/piano songs like Miserable At Best. I'm pretty sure Anywhere But Here is the only Mayday album Jason isn't on, besides Valdosta of course.

This is utter bullshit. One of them had the voice, the other had the lyrics. Not that Jason can't sing, it's just his voice pitch is kinda limited (higher notes Derek can hit but Jason can't). It's just a little too deep for the songs he makes.

This was the first song i heard by Go radio right when it was released, This song is fucking amazing, it has an amazing lead guitar, that heavy pop melody that gets stuck in your head, and an amazing singer to put it all together

mayday were all dicks to jason. derek tried to take credit for writing all of the songs now when jason wrote every one. i hope go radio shits on mayday by the time this is done. i loved mayday, but they deserve what theyve gotten-they are falling fast cause the last album was very very poor lyrically.

Without Jason Lancastor writing songs for Mayday Parade they have gone downhill..Just his lyrics alone makes Go Radio great. Add his voice, and you got one hell of a band.
Although, gotta give props to Mayday for the song Save Your Heart..song is amazing!

Mayday was the shit before he left. Now they're getting too big and people don't even know what they were like before he left. It kind of makes me mad. But kudos to Jason and Go Radio. It's clear that all Mayday's lyrical talent came form him.

Although Jason helped them get to where they are, he was not the only thing that did like most people seem to believe. He's awesome, but not that awesome, and Mayday will continue to be awesome without him. There I go talking about Mayday on a Go Radio video....ugh...

i honestly, dont like go radio as much as i want because of the mp days.
it sucks knowing that all of the real honest mp fans will never get any
more songs that we used to have. theyre so, less REAL.
mp back in the day had songs that could come across, and make an impression, make a change,...save the day.
this, is just disappointing. the new mp just sounded pop and so commercial.
the exact opposite of what they used to. they lost their honest, true, sound and path to the heart.

Please, get the hell off the Go Radio video. MP didn't lose anything but a 3rd guitarist and a back up singer. Go Radio has Jason now and it's staying like that. Go Radio and Mayday Parade are 2 separate bands and they are both phenomenal, real, and honest. If you want to see the old MP, go to the Fearless Friends show near your city.

A Lesson In Romantics was the best CD I've ever heard and you're right when you say MP is poppy and comercial now. I still love them. Like they're my MP for life but I miss the originals you know?
