  • that was great! greetings from Wales

  • I'd much rather play a traditional instrument like this with thousands of years of history than one of the conventional instruments that everyone else learns.

  • great playing, its cool how she bends the notes. ive just learned about this instrument.

  • if 25 string gayageums can play western, modern, and traditional music, does that mean that the 25 stringed one is just generally better?

  • very soothing music. . .now this is how movies help broadcast amazing cultures of different countries. . imao >_<

*knew about gayageum through Hearstrings . . .

  • I thought a Gayageum had only 12 strings. That seems like a Gu Zheng. Am I missing something?

  • @TheBrownBaron See the description! The uploader says that the gayageum is modified to have 25 strings

  • how many string?

  • Mianhada, saranghanda is the name of drama here's song.

  • delicate finger works

  • i kno this song, this was in a korean drama show(forgot name)but it was a pretty sad show.A boy and girl were friends but the girl was blind.they kept playing with each othr and they would go to a secret hideout house that belongs to the 2 of them. then when the time came, the girl had to leave for an eye operation. they gave their goodbyes to each othr and promise to meet each othr one day.latr when they grew up,the eye surgery was a success and they finally met.the girl recognized the boys voice

  • I'm so surprised a gayageum could be so versatile to play even a pop song like this...beautiful!

  • Oh my gosh.... That was lovely.

  • que música más bella!!! gracias por tu interpretación.

  • This korean music know how to touch the heart. Beautiful

  • Wow very beautiful!

  • It's actually a gayageum.

I consider the guzheng the mother of the Asian long zithers and the gayageum, koto, yatga, and dan tranh as it's "daughters" for they were influenced by it.

  • 가야금 소리가 이렇게도 아름다울 가요? Beautiful. Thank you.

  • 너무 이쁘네요 소리가.. ^^ 반했어.

  • The Gayageum is such a beautiful and interesting instrument. Wow- I wanna learn it someday.

  • I always wanted to learn how to play gayageum but there's no place to learn near here :(

It looks mad hard... but it sounds so pretty!

  • Do you guys have a CD for sale?

I'd gladly buy it, Gayageum sounds so soothing.

  • That's lovely... I'm touched =)

  • Wow, this is a very good arrangement of the song. One of my favourite songs, both the Japanese and Korean versions =].

  • This is so beautiful! I love it.

  • Our Geyageum ^^

  • this is the most beautiful thing i have ever heard

  • This is beautifully performed--it is not easy to play this kind of harmonic/chromatic music on a gayageum.

  • wow this is very beautiful!!!!

  • Tomatomedia, very good jobb! Beautiful tune, beautiful player. I heard/saw your version of Emmanuels Stay close to me, and found it even more lovely than Emmanuels own version. Did you write that arrangemant to?

  • Hi !

    Thanks for your attention.

I re-arranged all songs for Gayageum.

    Hope to enjoy musics ..

  • Thanks for kind attentions.

I arranged this song by myself.

And beautiful player is my student.

Truely I played guitar and piano,

    I played sometimes with guitar.

    Then re-arrange for Gayageum.

  • I LOVE THIS lol

and I am Korean too ~~

(well I just saw this video on MULE lol)

  • This is soooo beautifull, I am wondering who composed this and for what instrument? Or did you compose this? Just fantastic!

  • This is originally Japanese song sung by Nakashima Mika (?:spell check please -_-;;), don't know the composer though... it was translated into Korean and used in Korean drama called "미안하다, 사랑한다" (?:never watched it...-_-;;) It's a modern music but in my opinion, it sounds the best with piano.

  • Ah, that's better! :) So gorgeous. I wish I could learn kayagum from someone. ^-^
