I have a similar issue. I never thought much of it, but it might be related to cervical stenosis (narrow spinal column in the neck causing compression of the spinal cord). I am having surgery for it next week and I hope it also takes care of the leg twitching.
my left calve does exactly the same thing! all day long! so annoying! i tried to massage it , thought it might relax the muscle a little bit , not a chance! it kept twitching , i dont know what to do anymore :( the same thing happens also on my arms . eyes,thighs.. does anyone have why this is happening? i also would like to state that i am under a lot of stress right now and have been for a loooong time..
so insted of all being idiots if theres a normal person out there what is this how can i stop it coz my whole head twitches and i look like an idiot in public
my right calf does the same shit. i have no idea but i know a lack of potassium in the system can give you muscle twitches.. when my potassium levels are low my left and right calves twitch, but when i take in more potassium they stop. But i'm not sure that is the problem in my right calf. So curious what the hell it is.
get off your soapbox idiot. Seriously, My twitches, cramps and fasciculation spasms began just as depicted in this video well before "my ALS" diagnosis and are continuing to this day. They will never stop for the rest of my life. They do not solely represent late stages of ALS by any means as furiousGeorge03 says below! You and "furious boy", Need to check your own facts instead of posting sarcastic remarks such as yours. My comment were in all seriousness from someone actually WITH ALS.
NOT wrong. Are you a Ph.D. or have ALS? I actually "have ALS", so I do know what I'm talking about. I understand the severity of what I proposed, and didn't see original poster received a diagnosis of CMT. How dare you accuse me of being ignorant. You have no clue who I am or my level of knowledge
I have a twitching calf as well, my reason is because I have cancer and it affected my right nerve connected to my foot.
If this is recurring to anyone I suggest they get it checked out.. of course it may not be cancer but don't mess around with it thinking it's not important.
I hate that shit its so anoying expeshaly in my eye the best way to get rid of twiching is to rest what evers twiching and cover it with warm water or compress. it normaly happends if ur a beit stresses soget some sleep and warm it
i have CMT charcott marie tooth syndrome. Though this isnt a symptom CMT could be the cause. I also have the twitching on my forearm and thumbs, Mind you mine is 24/7 non stop. Yours could be just BFS if it only happens now and again
is anyone on benzos for the twitching and anxiety. I am not very much only a quarter miligram. I think it might be the meds. I am getting off them and will see if the twitching gets better. also there is a websight call (about BFS). There is a forum there and i isvery helpful
Hey dude, I am exactly the same way! My whole body as been twitching for like the past 2 years and the dam doctors just keep throwing pills at me. NONE of them have been able to tell me what the heck is causing this! If you find the cause PLEASE let me know. Thanxz!

WRONG. Twitching is late stage and always preceded by wasting and weakness in ALS.
That level of ignorance is irresponsible. Never say that to someone.

Look, I'm sincerely sorry for your situation, and also sorry if I offended you.
I just thought there was a chance you would bring a great deal of anxiety upon this poster over a 'Snap Dx' which did in fact turn out to be wrong.

If you have continuous fascics and no other symptoms, ignore them.
