thanks a load, I had half my memory on a D: drive which windows 7 made into a backup only drive, and this was the only free working software I found to change over drive memory, and I was kind of stumped till I watched the video, Now I have double the disk space on my C: drive and no D: drive slowing me down or limiting my memory. Thanks again
I would use this program to shrink my C drive on my Windows XP. I did a recovery recently and have installed only a few progs back onto C. If I shrunk the C drive down to as little as possible and then backed off to make a little more room for only enough for the rest of my progs, would I be able to do another system recovery with the newly shrunken C drive if need be? Would the recovery disc say the drive was too small?
@asbj0244 - Back up your data first, then simply delete any partition you don't want and resize your C drive. In many cases it will do this without affecting the contents of the C drive, a backup is security precaution :-)
@ubisoft5126 - Delete one partition then resize the main partition using the free space, although I personally would keep two partitions and clone the drive onto the second partition :-)
@ jaat1100 - Is it a Logical Partition and does it have a drive letter? If using Easeus, right click the partition to rename it or delete it, and then create a new partition as a logical partition :-)
@ HUNT3Rwag3 - It has a bug with Windows 7, when restoring an image there is no ability to browse for the location. Win 7 does have its own image backup, open Control Panel, click on Backup and restore, then Create a system image and Create a system repair disc :-)
@delux0r0815 - Open Easeus, click on the C partition, right click and select resize, enter the resize value or use your mouse as shown in the video to increase the size which will take it from unallocated space, click apply and reboot :-)
so, the inference is that there should be existing 'unallocated space' -prior- to enlarging my C partition, then? so, in my situation, with 2 existing partitions on my drive being C (very near full) and D (much bigger, and very near empty) *first* I'd either convert most of (or ALL of) volume D into 'unallocated space' (so I can enlarge C)
do I have that correct? or will easus 'automagically' make volume D smaller when I elect to enlarge C?
punkmonki00 - I use this program on all of my machines including Windows 7. It's one application I highly recommend and users should make use of it :-)
Great video! I'm planning to partition my drive soon but I was wondering if using the bootable CD method is safer to avoid data corruption since my system files along with the rest of my data is located all on the C drive. Or is it going to be same if I did this through windows? Is that why it requires reboot so it will unmount the system files before partitioning? Thanks in advance.
Tenshou - Thank you. The bootable CD method is preferred and you may want to consider watching my video on Macrium Reflect, which does a great job of backing up drives and restoring them along with partitions if required. In Easus the reboot does unmount the system files that are in use to allow the partition to be created without causing any damage to existing files :-)
Thanks for the quick reply. Great I think I'll just stick to the windows method. Just wondering when Easus reboots will it show a process bar as it partitions or will it only restart once the job's done?
Tenshou - It will show progress as it prepares the partitions. Essentially, users have to use whatever method suits them and they are comfortable using :-)
thanks this "might" help me install windows 7 RC (dual boot). the problem before was it was only letting me do about 9000 MB wich wasnt enough. i wanted to make it more like 34 GB. so hopefully this WILL help :D
It does give a somewhat helpful rundown of some of EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition's capabilities. It's hard to get through though because of the low energy level of the speaker's voice. It's somnolescent. To the speaker: it would be better if you try to speak with some enthusiasm. Realize that energy is useful for communication when doing public speaking. :-)
I have a drive with two partitions. Both are approx. 150GB. One partition is "C" drive with Windows and the other partition is unallocated. Is it possible to merge the two partitions without disturbing the Windows data or anything else on "C", thus making the new "C" drive 300GB?
samgraves2 - it is possible, but there is always the risk of losing data so I would not advise it. Use the second partition to store music, pics, downloaded program installers etc. That will free up more space on your main drive. I have a similar setup and also create a clone of drive C on my other partition so I can easily replace the whole C drive including the MBR if necessary :-)
Great video.. I downloaded the software, but I have a slight problem. When I right click on the unallocated space, the create label is not highlighted; therefore I am not able to partition the disk drive but only resize the disk drive. Any ideas what I am doing wrong!? Help would be much appreciated!
alboboy007 - Firstly Right Click on your C drive and select Resize/Move and place your cursor at the end and it changes shape, left click and reduce the size of the partition, then click on 'Unallocated' then click Create on the toolbar above and you will then be able to create your partition. Click Apply and it should reboot to carry out the operation. Hope that helps :-)
played on that HD came out all gargled and played a loud grinding sound form the speakers. All the files where screwed, for example if i open a movie i might get a random mp3 playing instead. It was bad.
Although what i did today (that has seemed to fix the problem for now) is to do a a full error check on the HD, which found ALOT of errors and repaired them. LOL, i was going to go and return my HD as i thought it was failing. So yeah its okay for now- but will never try that program again!
firstly im NOT blaming you at all for anything, im just sharing my discontent with the program :). Okay, what i tried to do is resize my 1TB HD in two partitions, simply by dragging the slider over to the level needed. When i commenced the resize it took hours, upon hours hours with the HD activity light going crazy. Eventually i had to forcibly cancel the process as the process completed was not changing, it was stuck. After that my files on the HD where all screwed up. Videos and music when
chubz1337 - It should not take that long, maybe 2 hours on a high capacity drive with a lot of used space. Paragon do a slightly different version and it's essential to remember that what works for one user may not work for another as each machine is setup differently. No partitioning tool should alter the file structure and select files other than the ones you have chosen to open :-)
yeah your right about that, that it probably would work better on a different setup-BUT in a way the software should be able to take all that into consideration. oh well, i will give another product a try and see how that goes :)
It should not damage your HD in any way as it only creates, moves or deletes partitions. If you followed each step and applied the settings it should run smoothly.
Dyduu93 - There is a small possibility, although I have never lost any data when partitioning drives on several machines.
If you can, ensure that you have an external backup using Paragon Drive Backup which will create an image of your drive and is also free, you will find it in my videos.

wajidhaq 2 years ago
wajidhaq - hall.dll errors are usually a sign of afailing drive, or it had not been checked for errors.
Many 'Missing or corrupt HAL.DLL,' 'Invalid Boot.Ini,' or 'Windows could not start..." problems can be fixed with these five shortcut steps:
1 - Boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console
2 - Run "Attrib -H -R -S" on the C:\Boot.ini file
3 - Delete the C:\Boot.ini file
4 - Run "Bootcfg /Rebuild"
5 - Run Fixboot
