i live in osseo and it was windy that day and we are lucky the fire did not spred

@broccoliclown:you probably heard that heinens had started the fire from advanced home improvement. and you know what if i ran a remodoling business and my building wasnt up to code (ex. the air conditioner being powered by an extension cord that ran through the ventalation system)- that really happened- i would be telling people that heinens started the fire too, but it wasnt heinens where it started it was advanced home improvement, srry it wasnt heinens. my dad has worked there for 10 years

i was there i still cant believe the bad luck for that decorating place... it just got remodeled a few weeks prior, crazy day the popping noises are tired from the next door business its Heinens Motorsports

I remember that fire. I was chilling in the auditorium of the school at the time; didn't see the smoke at all, but one of my friends did.

I love bystanders that clog the streets for emergency vehicles and put themselves in danger. You never know what is burning. If there are compressed gas cylinders cooking off, they launch like missiles. Please take some advice would be bystanders and stay away from these types of situations. You also create a greater chance for inhalation of toxic smoke and particulates.

Yeah my dad was on duty that fire/medical I was still in school when it happened! It was VERY scary!

I remember this... we were at track practice and we saw this huge cloud of smoke that covered like half the sky.. and everyone got distracted.

Too bad all those ATV's got ruined..

I live in osseo, it took just over an hour to put out. This is the 4th major burn down on main streetsince I've been here 37 years,they say it started with some one working on a motorcycle in the storage yard-strong wind and gasoline spread it throughout what ended up to be 2/3rds of the entire yard. It took out the little building at the entrance of mainstreet but didnt touch that I can see the main building.I dont know why they didnt have a fire truck hoseing the small building to keep it safe

Someone that lives in that town said it took an hour to put out. I stayed there about half that time. The wind was crazy wild that day!
