  • Aww these comments about religion, Peter being a Catholic, bla bla bla. Why don't we just appreciate the fucking interview, guys? We all have one thing in commmon, we like TON, (anti)religious opinions are nothing. \m/

  • @LadyPyrettaBlaze agree...with you TON forever!

  • The human is egocentric in nature. Whn it is confronted it does not know or understand it condems it as false. "i dont understand whats going on therefore nothing is going on" there is a higher intelligence that created all not the peoples fault that they cant understand it. I cant understand it fully but i dont ignore it. Theres more to life than life if that makes any sense. TON great band steele will be forever remember R.I.P.

  • I have had my experiences with cocaine, and the thing that a lot of people don't realize is that coke is a lot like a radioactive substance, metaphorically speaking; you do it, have fun go to sleep (eventually) and you don't even realize that the drug eats you from the inside out. Much like excessive drinking. I know all this too well. I think Pete knew he overstepped his boundaries, and he figured that at least he could make peace with hmself. Man I miss the green man so much, good guy.RIP.

  • he died at the right time, he was becoming more of a douche.

  • @fecesbomb actually he was doing very well, he was sober and no longer doing drugs, he was recovering and started to enjoy life again, there was an interview not long before he died where he was touring, he looked in good form and looking forward to playing for his fans. you sir, are a true moron and have no respect for this great band

  • at this point he'd become a tweeker; so fucking sad. RIP

  • how can you be a capitalist and be catholic at the same time? no wonder he was so confused- trying to figure out which way to go in life! good or bad what is it?

  • R.I.P.(

  • Good to know he made peace with God.

    God is good.

He cares about us, even when we hate Him.

  • @imallpissedoff You believe in forever? Because I don't even believe in tomorrow. Those are Peter's own words. God isn't real. Don't be stupid.

  • @mobilesuitZer0

Looks like he wised up towards the end. You should, too. He clearly stated that the death of his mother brought him closer to God.

Do you have an explanation for the existence of the universe, it's order and finely tuned laws, the complexity of life, and it's genetic code?

  • @imallpissedoff This is what happens when people get scared, they turn to something imaginary. Just because it makes you feel good, doesn't mean it's good for you.

  • @AvaAdore83

No, this is what happens when a person begins to wake up.

Believing in the fairy tale of evolution, or whatever it is you imagine you can shut out your Creator with, is what scared people like you, do.

Unfortunately, for atheists, the advances of science have revealed a creation far more complex than ever thought possible, with the definite and unmistakable signs of intelligent design.

Crack a book. Start with Stephen Meyers, "Signature in the Cell".

  • @imallpissedoff Boring troll.

  • @imallpissedoff LMAO thank you for that, i really needed a good laugh today! Here is my book suggestion to you, Richard Dawkins "The god Delusion".

  • @AvaAdore83

LOL. It should be titled, "Dawkins's Blooper". Even evolutionist have had to admit that it's written more for children and that it's full of mockery and opinion. Not very scientific.

Now, go read "Signature in the Cell", "Darwin's Black Box", and "Icons of Evolution".

    You'll see the difference.

  • @imallpissedoff Intelligent Design...LOL ridiculous.

  • @AvaAdore83

Random, unguided, materialistic processes producing the specified information necessary to initiate self-replicating life and then it leading to ever-increasing functional complexity and the diversity of life.

    More than ridiculous...mathematically impossible.

Read "Signature in the Cell" if you think it's so ridiculous.

    Wait, wait !

Please, allow me to respond for you.

AvaAdore83 to imallpissedoff : Why would I waste my time reading that stupid book? Creationists are stupid.

  • @imallpissedoff Intelligent design theory is nothing more than the same old biblical creationism dressed up in scientific terms to avoid legal hassles and so it can be taught in schools. That's about it.

  • @AvaAdore83

No, intelligent design is a theory that arose form the discoveries of the complexity and specified information found in a cell.

Anthony Flew, an atheist renowned for, well, being an atheist, changed his mind about his atheism when confronted by these discoveries. He now aknowledges the undeniable signs of design, intelligent design, in self-replicating life.

I'm telling you, read, "Signature in the Cell". It's an amazing book. Completely scientific. No preaching of any kind.

  • I miss him... Amazing human being.

  • RIP Peter =(*

  • damn! i used to do cocaine too and i really identify myself with everything he said...

    R.I.P. PETE.

  • WTF... It really pisses me off he had to die. He was Catholic, Metal and a Capitalist. How cool is that. There just are'nt many of us left anymore.

  • @5greatwhite lol dont get a big ego now he became catholic because he didnt want to believe that the worst of human beings could go to the same place as the best of human beings.

  • Only just got into Type O but I'm loving them.

  • He was a very wise man... too bad he was too sensitive to bear all shit important people in his life piled upon his shoulders... a great artist and a sweet hearted person who will be missed for ever

  • Jay Z fuck only fat ass whores

  • ive seen type o negative play dozens of times...and every show was amazing...but it was what happened after the shows that was the best part...the guys from type o would always meet their fans by the tour bus and sit there and talk to everyone, sign autographs, and get pictures taken with their fans. more than once ive heard peter steele say that without the fans, type o wouldn't be anything. type o was truely a unique group. peter, you will be missed.

  • He gotten closer to god.. That's great..

  • Why you say RIP pete??? Has he Died??

  • @MarcO2851 yes

  • @MarcO2851 he died april 14 2010,its crazy i just found out a few days ago after checking to see if Type-O was working on a new album.

i have them on my myspace/facebook firends list i dont know how i couldve missed that!

  • @knowur10sand18s Man, Im really sorry, maybe I was not a Type O - hardcore fan but they were definetly a agreat band and Pete was one of the best voices metal ever had.

  • @knowur10sand18s WEll, I guess he was a good folk, RIP Pete.

  • i want to see the rest of this interview...seems like he had a lot to say.... sigh...

    RIP pete....

  • I'm really gonna miss this guy....

  • I don't know why, but 1:26 -1:30 made lol hard. Just the matter of fact way he said it

  • God bless you peter...you are missed

  • we miss type o negative !!!

  • We miss you Peter, I had the honor to see Type O, and meet and talk to Peter and he was a great guy. Very friendly and down to earth. RIP Peter Steele

  • pete seems like a great guy , i love his honesty

  • Rest in sweet peace, Mr. Steele. You are so loved and so missed.

  • I remember the first time i heard T.O.N.

I was sitting on my friends bed listening to a mixed cd she made and christian woman came on. I hated the vocals but the lyrics were amazing.

    You are very missed Peter

  • @VredesStal wasnt addiction completely. twas some other things.

    unspecified medical anomalies

  • @VredesStal

    Untrue.

  • May you find peace Peter Steele, thanks for the awsome music friend

  • It makes me happy knowing Pete Steele was a capitalist aswell. Fuck. I love how he was so straightforward with everything. I know his music has inspired my childhood and thousands of other kids throughout the 80's aswell. You will be missed R.I.P. Pete Steele

  • now go watch his interview on jerry springer lol

  • Im really really bummed that this guy was underneath my radar the past 20 years. what a cool dude

  • Peter was a awesome and intellectual person and he was honest and funny in some ways. but he was a legend and had a amazing voice and i miss him.

  • Comment removed

  • @wanderer1031 Men cause war. Peter Steele caused awesomeness, regardless of his beliefs.

  • God Bless you Peter. You are a legend and we will always love you!!!

  • amazing songwriter, musician and frontman. And from what I've read from countless comments and could glean from his interviews, a genuinely nice, kind and sensitive human being. Such a pity he had to go so soon. RIP Peter, your musical legacy will endure.

  • todays mozart. Don't have to be a famous to a genius

  • right on man,Cocain Sucks

  • know what? if i were the director of bram stokers dracula, as much as i love gary oldman, peter would have made an AMAZING dracula!! he has natural fangs anyways lol rip peter, love you man

  • @waylonbloodskull666 he got the dentist to put those fangs ing for him

  • anyone who wants to see one of his latest interviews, go google peter steele into god and shit and i believe its one of his latest interviews before he passed, if anyone knows how to re post it on here , that would be great!

  • He was so Hot, so sensual guy

  • Peter, thank you for what you gave the world. Your music will never die.

  • People die of heart failure even when they never touched cocaine i think it's to easy to blame.Fact is lots of gunk gets into your heart each day just by breathing the polluted air. Especially fine dust from exhaust fumes.

  • you can tell by looking at the two that johnny is the sane one of the two

  • @Kammerz10 I can never tell by tiny display pictures hehe!

I wish I saw them when I had the chance... ):

  • Oh Petey... I still miss you.

  • \m/ RIP peter you are a great guy

  • I don't know if it's just me, but I could listen to Pete talk about his ideas and thoughts all day long. Wish there were more interviews out there. RIP

  • @dnoll135 I couldn'd agree more....

  • @dnoll135 Pete gives us something we don't hear often...honesty!

  • Shit, Halloween isn't going to be the same. I've never seen SO many people hurt, even crushed by Peter's death. I didn't feel this way when Bon Scott died, Lynyrd Skynyrd it still hurts, I saw both 1 year before they died. Even Dimebag's death, and I am a die hard Pantera fan, in fact saw them 5 years before he did. Peter had so much EMOTION, intensity, passion. And the darkness of music can draw us like moths to the flame.

  • @Kammerz10

Yeah. It's really sad when he says how coke ruined everything. Just the way he says it, he sounds so broken and weary. You can see the deep regret and frustration flash in his eyes as he reflects on 25 years of bad choices. Poor guy.

  • @Kammerz10 Maybe, mister. It is ashame he wasted away like that, but that's what the drugs do. I really wanted to see them live too.

  • Comment removed

  • OH MY GOD HES A RELIGIOUS NUT

good thing another catholic shit has left the metal community.

  • @darkrainone Yeah but clean and sober and happy for a few months before his death is better than drunk and snorting/shooting coke still!!! He was VERY happy in the interview. Isn't that what we should want for him? (I don't like the Catholic religion either), is his happiness at the end. I watched a very long video approx 5 months before he died.

    Very interesting.

  • @Kammerz10 yeah right, I bet you are a right wing religious nut, stop trying to cover up.

  • @darkrainone LMAO, yeah I listen to black metal, death metal, ANY metal & I'm a right wing. Whatever. You've spewed your venom of many of Peter's and TON videos, fucking knock it off.

  • @Kammerz10 stfu u religious prick

  • @darkrainone stfu DUMBFUCK. You're obviously the religious prick. Besa mi cula! And chinga te!

  • @darkrainone

Dude you are a fucking dogmatic bigot if that's truly what you believe. So what if he's Catholic? He even said he doesn't believe in shoving it down your throat. You embody the worst aspects of religion and the pathetic thing is that you think you're above it.

Props to Peter and any other addict who has the balls to face their demons.

  • RIP peter Steele

  • Bloody hell, his mother died not long before him. Such a shame... One person in music that did have talent.

  • @BleedingAxewound And he was very close to her. When he was in Playgirl, they asked her what she thought of him being in the magazine, she said "why do you think I named him Peter"....lol! He mentioned in one interview he didn't take his dad's death in 1995 well, did that also contribute to his beginning to drink & do coke?

  • Is sad. Didn't realize ha had died. Cocaine is bad for your heart, so why do people keep taking this stuff? I thought it was very interesting when he mentioned that he was Roman Catholic. After all the lyrics for Christian Woman are a bit thought provoking, and blasphomous to some religious people. RIP Pete. You gave us great music.

  • @wilx218x Because like most illegal drugs, booze, cigs, it's addicting. A high school classmate had a MAJOR coke addiction, he became depressed and killed himself! He was only in his twenties.

  • @wilx218x Cuz like all drugs it's very addictive. Peter had a hard time at first playing live with TON, he said he's actually shy by nature, I can see that in him, kind of like Jim Morrison, til they drank, then they were able to perform without fear. Yeah I think a few parts in Christian Woman could be taken out.

  • @wilx218x Cuz like all drugs it's very addictive. Peter had a hard time at first playing live with TON, he said he's actually shy by nature, I can see that in him, kind of like Jim Morrison, (he wouldn't even face the audience at firsrt), til they drank, etc. then they were able to perform without "fear", etc. Sad.

  • The sad thing is he died a few years after he got clean. Just because you stop the drugs doesn't mean they won't kill you later. Good reason not to start them.

  • @necroluster666

I know what you mean. Maybe his efforts to quit bought him more time. I'd like to believe that. I think the drugs really fucked up his looks too. He's probably close to 50 here but the hard living took its toll on him a while ago.

  • @MarshalNey13 yeah it is hard to tell how many times you can do a drug before it affects you perminately. Of course Cocaine and Alcohol are the most harmful drugs out there next to morphine and heroin, so research wouldn't hurt if one was to try drugs. It is sad how bad his looks got after a while. Every girl I speak of him to says he was the "hottest long haired man" they have ever seen.

  • @MarshalNey13 It sure did.

  • @necroluster666 And now they're finding meth can cause long term brain damage.....the best drug is chocolate! (Or metal and sex).

  • @Kammerz10 Oh yeah, but the short term brain damage from excessive use and the short and long term damage to the heart and veins should be enough to say no. Definitely metal and sex over chocolate, hard to pick between metal and sex, just too good of a drug mix. The problem with drugs that no one gets unless they have tried it is how good they really feel. I stay away from all the harmful drugs now but I still admit heroin is even better than metal and sex together.

  • @necroluster666 Have you evey done coke? Meth? VERY highly addictive. They think one line? Ok. Heroin is the worst, more heroin deaths than all other drugs. My bf was addicted to heroin, he's been clean for about 12 years. And see saw MANY friends, users die. In fact, one friend who had the "drug house", in one bedroom 10 people have died over the years from heroin, in fact 3 weeks ago another addict died-same room. I've tried meth, coke, LSD, I'll never touch heroin. Sex & metal is good.

  • @Kammerz10 Of course I've done meth and coke. I think the severity of meth is heavily under estimated, but heroin is much worse still, much more addicting, muhc more deadly. But with meth, even coke and crack, you get the paranoia, feelings of immorality. Much more crime comes with meth. The vast majority of crimes that were committed under the influence were under meth, coke and crack. I've definitely done heroin too and nothing compares to the feeling.

  • @Kammerz10 I've done meth, coke, LSD, mushrooms, ketamine, nitrous oxide, spray, heroin, pot, PCP, a variety of, benzos, barbiturates, amphetamines, opiates, plants, including morning glory, mescaline, the list goes on. Heroin normally feels the best of all of them and it is by far the most deadly. That's why it's so dangerous. Although believe it or not, tobacco is the next highest killer of all the drugs.

  • @necroluster666 EXACTLY! Heroin is the worst illegal drug. Wow I

am suprised you are still alive! That's good! Oh I did opium too, forgot that one. I prefer things like sedatives (they're legal, have anxiety, etc.) or alcohol. LSD isn't fun when you want off the trip and you can't get off, that was 20 years ago never touched it sense.

  • @Kammerz10 You can't go wrong with metal and sex, it is great! I guess you could get an STD or a baby you didn't want, but you can't go wrong with metal! Just a matter of being responsible no matter what you do from cigarettes to sex to coke, whatever, but warn anyone who will listen that no human being is meant to handle heroin.

  • @Kammerz10 let me tell you i used Heroin and Morphium iv for long 15 years on a very high dose, that with the most deaths on Heroin is BS, sorry i wont be unfriendly but do some research pls and look how much person die on alcohol or cigarrettes (our so called legal drugs lol). and ask yourself twice why that is that way hehe^^

For all others Heroin (Opiats) are a helltrip you cant even imagine, so think twice before doing shit^^but what shell i tell, every1 knows itself better^^like i did

  • @necroluster666 he didnt stop, listen to his last words on the video 3:26

i just starded to listent to his music.. RIP peter

  • @Ozuen562 actually he did. this video was taken in 2007. he became officially clean, i believe, just before the beginning of 2009.

  • @necroluster666 very true that, im clean since a fair bit now and more often at the doctors then back the times when i was still on drugs, the morphium didnt let come the pains through, now that its gone all the shit started, teeth, head, 1 illness goes another 1 comes immediatly, anyway its worth it to stay sober and clean for me, cause hard drug addiction is pure hell^^

  • He changed with drug addiction, I mean even mimics/way of moving... straaange

  • I respect him for telling the truth about his addiction...most celebrities wont even talk about it or will act as though the have completely stopped their drug use and as a human being who struggles with just the use of cigarettes I know quitting cold turkey isn't easy especially if you really love doing it...And he's right every human has their vice...I hope he has found peace in heaven.

  • This breaks my heart. Hearing him speak... just how intensely sad he was. Rest in Peace Peter. A piece of me will slways love him... xox

  • I love you Pete

  • beuti soul man...missing

  • He had said he was a Satanist in that interview on their DVD symphony for the devil with Mistress Julia. I guess he was kidding or posing.

  • R.I.P Peter may God bless you

  • Rest in pieces motherfucker.

  • what pete said i can really relate to. R.I.P PETE

  • Watching this, Peter Steele depressed the hell out of me. Did he go and die again?

  • RIP peter steele- the man who signed his contract with roadrunner in blood and cum mixed together

  • WOW! This sucks! I loved Type O Negative! Peter Steele was great! ALL THESE DAMM DEATHS!!!!!!

    Captain Phil Harris Deadliest Catch

    Bass player for Slip Knot

    Peter Steele

  • @hemipene and Dio

  • @gordon16663 Oh yeah! I forgot, I loved Ronnie James Dio..saw him in concert at Long Beach Arena when I was 16. This has been a bad year! Lost some incredible talent! : (

  • Comment removed

  • He seriously was Catholic? Oh my, I always thought he was Pagan, well, Catholic pretty much is Pagan

  • @mbphlover

He declared himself as an atheist (this was his decision but I think his family baptized him to Roman Catholic). But his mother's death changed his belief to Roman Catholic.

  • Thank you Peter and TON for being there to help me deal with life's problems. R.I.P. know you are truly missed. You helped many people you may have never met with your music, and I greatly appreciate the outlet you provided. I am forever grateful.

  • @hemipene: And talking about his look...at 48, come on, he still was looking great, long black hair, athletic body, only that he was little tired face looking (too many problems). If he would 've been happy, he would've have a diff. face.

PS/ I'm a girl, even if my nickname sounds like masculin (it's a name of a horse:) which I like)

  • @ hemipene: it's not the look so important, we all get old, including you as well. He did real art in music and he was a deep soul. It's better than people should see more than appearence, to see behind that and not to criticize: ''oh, he looks like crap now''. Not fair! This man only needed help long time ago, not to abuse his body so much...but no one was there to really hear him. Even his family was not really helping.

  • Let nobody ever convince you that addiction isn't a motherfucker.

  • @devolve42 Ha..Agree 100% If you truly know addiction..You wish you hadn't!! Best bet..Don't ever mess with anything addicting!

  • @devolve42 - Amen!

  • @devolve42

Only the weak succumb to addiction. Be your own god, heal thy self.

  • only thing is if Peter got everything out of his life, then would there have been any more Type O music ?? I doubt it !

  • Man ...what a loss ....R.I.P. Peter <3 thanks for all you've given us.

  • i know it sucks. my cousin is the guitar player kenny hickey and amagin how he felt.luckly kenny has 7th void though.

  • @dogsownpeople Kennty has an awesome voice, I added Seventh Void on MySpace, so far 2 thumps up!!

  • This is a guy who when i first heard about... i hated, but i couldn't resist his songwriting and music. and when things like that happen, you realize he's not so bad after all...The fact he was trying to get closer to the Lord as well as staying sober or drugg free...made me respect him so much....then the that now he's gone....makes me sad. Everytime i hear his voice or music, i cry inside. God bless you always Peter Steele. †

  • @TJKArts1974 the fact that he became a christian sucks jesusboy

  • @themzombie

you know what. If there isn't a god. then why does it suck if he found peace in whichever form before he passed? ... I'm not a christian. but its like .. .if the dude is struggling, and he finds some sort of solace, and also doesn't believe in forcing it down anyones throat *bravo to that ... then why be a dick about the christian thing? ... leave the man to his helpful findings. Any man for that matter.

  • @TJKArts1974 Best Peter Steele vid Ive ever seen. very candid!

Your post is Top Notch as well!!

God Bless Peter and I hope Ill meet him in heaven one day!!

  • @TJKArts1974 He wanted to get closer to "the lord" because he knew or felt that his death was near. He had admit it so. Dying can be a scary thing and believing that you wont return or that once dead its pretty much over, isnt a pleasent thing. He was an Atheist.

  • @TJKArts1974 he was a great man and don't let anybody tell you any different. Peter was a good guy.

  • @TJKArts1974 Don't worry. His music continues as he possess the living!!

  • Seemed like Peter was just finding God and turning his life around for the better, and then he's gone. What a shame, because I'm sure he still had a lot of great music in him waiting to come out. Rest in peace Peter, and I sincerely hope you're in a better place.

  • Rest in peace my friend...

  • NO I DONT WANT TO SAVE MONEY ON GECKO...or whatever it is...FUCK!

  • I love him so much, he coulda been toothless or whatever I still will and always will love this man. Im glad you let me kiss your lips at the 2009 wackon tour your crazy man!

  • im sad that hes gone he was a beautiful man im glad that he was fighting back against his demons RIP

  • He's got fangs :P

  • After watching this video, I am very comforted that Peter Steele is in a better place. He seemed to have finally won the battle against his demons, achieved sobriety, and returned to his Roman Catholic faith. Lord rest your soul, Peter. You were a darkly beautiful man, and you will be greatly missed by your fans.

  • Oh my fucking God. I can't believe he died. This is not kool. Stupid Cocaine and Alcohol ... so kool yet so decieving.

  • Damns the cocaine.....

  • Pete rules I'll miss him and his kick-ass grand national!!

  • He is right. If your not going foward, you ARE going backwards.

  • he seems so much more human in this vid

  • cant believe he is gone

  • O- in this life , O- in the next, Maybe now you can finnally rest ! R.I.P Petrus,

    Love ya man.

    ~B~

  • And the day did came, RIP sir.

  • Cocaine and alcohol can fuck up your heart permanently and kill you long after you decide to quit. Sad.

  • i love how he went from catholisism to satanism back to catholisism. that amazed me.

    rip peter. <3

  • @megimetal Satanism? Are you retarded?

  • @everybodyhasone well he did.

  • @megimetal i'm pretty sure the satanism thing was always satirical.

  • @xyrxes1 my friend told me that he did. he knows alot about t.o.n. so idk. but how he found himself again through religion is pretty cool.

  • Militiaman2112 I never knew this man. I know about it him. I know of him. I know that he felt that if he had never gone into the music industry he wouldve been a happier man. But through his music hes inspired me, driven me and will continue to do so. I feel a deep sorrow that hes gone and I dont go a day without listening to his music. Rest in peace Petrus T. Ratajczyk . Youve earned it. You will be remembered

  • Just when he was coming around. This is sad. I never met Peter personally. I'm sure, just like everyone, he had ups and downs. Life is about happiness and finding joy in small thing. My son has saved my life. I don't know if Peter had kids. Children have a way of changing your life. Peter, rest in peace.

  • We miss you, Peter. :-(

  • He s a legend now!I think we ll never forget him-he live in our hearts forever and no one can take this away from us...REST IN PEACE...

  • RIP Peter you will never be forgotten xxx

  • RIP Peter see you in paradise

  • @Jtcarter1 fucking straight.

I'll miss TON it got me through alot of hard times

    R.I.P Peter
