  • If the claim is that KJV is unpolluted, then why does the KJV omit the translation of Rapture? It's in the Latin Vulgate, Greek mss., and Aramaic Peshitta. The Greek word is Harpazo, in Latin Raperium (sp?). However, the KJV does not translate this word at all. It leaves it out completely.

  • @BrotherCameron It's because they used the other correct words which are '" CAUGHT UP" which work the same. It has nothing to do with 'pollution" and has only to do with what the translators of English at that time 1611AD thought what best described the Greek Word.

  • Christianity is BIG LIE...

  • @KRISTENiblis Thats because the Devil has BLINDED your eyes to the TRUTH because of your Rebellion in your heart. It self-deceives you also. YOu need to look as some facts that are provable. Try "The Signature of God" ISBN 978-0-307-44484-4 Read it then say what you said if you could.

  • Try to read the 1611 edition of the KJV. And I mean with all the archaric spellings.

  • Matthew 18 :11 is in the footnote. Why is it in the footnote? Please answer.

  • The pastor seems pretty good. It makes me feel good that there are some out there still working to lead people in the right direction towards Jesus Christ. I think Christians by and large are lost right now, at least in America. Many are going to fall away to the upcoming deception I fear. Time to get back to the Bible.

  • @Biblehastheanswer Oh, before He can return there must occur a falling away first. One of the main attacks against Christians will come from inside the church. And what upcoming deception? We've been under deception for a very long time.

  • @BrotherCameron It's true the Church has been fighting heresy's for a long time BUT, heresy's have INCREASED in recent years beyond belief. Plus there is a 'deception' coming that will surmount to a very large scale much worse than ever before.

  • @MPPFLIPP That is very true. This is the Age of Deception, the last age of mankind.

  • Are you interested in what the Apostles wrote or what some 17th century baby baptizing Calvinist translator had to say?

  • What about the restored name RNKJV bible?

  • Find a greek manuscript where 1 John 5:7 is present that is older than the 10th century and I might agree that it should be there.

Also, syllables don't mean much for readability. Also, meat is used today to refer only to animal flesh. "Compass" means a device to determine due North, not 'surround'. "Bird" in some places is wrong and should be insect unless you know of any birds with 4 feet. (the Hebrew meant "winged creature")

  • Everyone who uses label KJVonlyism, sound like Bible College graduates. Maybe they are taught about this controversy in Bible college. If so, that concerns me how Moral College Curicular really is, in other words, schools are control by a higher interest. If you research Translastors and Publishers of NIV you will get a better idea of who behind the message of the book in question.

  • @imhere11111 Actually, the fact is that most good Bible colleges teach students Greek and Hebrew and a short history on the manuscripts we have for the Bible. It then just happens to follow that KJV-Onlyism is resolutely defeated due to the facts of history.

  • we must stop seperating the body of christ with this foolishness and do Gods will! Jeremiah 29:13! translations dont matter! whatever works for you and gets you close to God is fine! lets focus on what really matters which is reaching souls for christ in these last days and lets stop judging! God Bless!........

  • Video Google or Youtube Dr. Walter Veith Lecture "Battle of the Bibles"

    Awesome!

  • In the NIV they removed the word "sodomite" , because the translators had an homosexual agenda they added the word male offenders and male prostitutes?

1 Corinthians 6:9 (New International Version) 9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

    NIV is perverted false bible.

  • @ofreshartist Remeber that king James actually took an original English translation and modified + or - 1 third of it to suit his church of England. Was it the Wycliffe translation?

  • @yarrw King James had precious little to do with the version other than order it to be made. The majority of the readings in the KJV are from the Tyndale, however, not the Wycliff.

  • @vedinthorn You are right. The Wycliff bible was probably the first translation and used very old English. King James modified about a third of the Tyndale bible to suit Church of England doctrines. That is why it is a 'Hellfire and Brimstone' bible.

  • @yarrw Well...the doctrine, especially concerning hell, wasn't changed at all. I mean, you could take issue with all three words translated as hell ALWAYS being translated as hell even when the context doesn't really call for it (and I do), but that wasn't unique to the KJV or even Bibles afterward.

  • @vedinthorn Words like sheol mean 'dark place' or grave. Some words like ghenna are a waste dump not hell and so the list goes on.

  • @yarrw I'm aware of what the literal renderings of the words are..the point is what they are meant to represent. The idea of a place of eternal separation from God in what amounts to a trash heap of outer darkness and frustration wherein dwell all the worst, most selfish people, is absolutely supported by every Bible.

  • @vedinthorn While helping out with bible translation I realised that the word 'hell' should only occur in the New Testament about 5 times. Also the Christian doctrine of heaven should be 'new Earth' or 'new Jerusalem' (not what replacement theology teaches).

  • @yarrw I agree by and large. Of course it also depends what you mean by "Heaven". Surely the New Earth will be Heaven for those alive on it if Heaven is defined as a place in perfect harmony with God.

  • @vedinthorn Bible doctrine(Isaiah, 2Peter, Hebrews,Revelation etc) seems to be a restoration of what Adam had in the beginning. That is a new Earth and a new paradise(or new Jerusalem). This seems to be very different to the Christian concept of heaven.

  • @yarrw Depends on what you mean by "christian concept". The historic view has always been one that defines the final state of God and man as being on the New Earth in physical bodies. It is only psuedo-Christian culture that has redefined it as being a place in clouds where people play harps in white gowns.

  • @vedinthorn This pseudo-Christian culture has found its way into our churches. 25 yrs ago at missions school I was shocked to learn that Christmas and Easter were originally pagan. I also helped out repairing virus damage to the bible translation computers which showed me a few other things. Surprising just how powerful an electronic KJV and translation software can be.

  • @yarrw I prefer to take the view that Christmas and Easter were never pagan, but rather, had symbols and representations within them borrowed from pagan religions. God made chickens, eggs, rabbits, trees, stars, and gave the greatest gift, afterall. Hence, no harm in using said symbols for His glory. That said, carved images or like ilk is a terrible idea when it is supposed to actually BE a god.

  • @vedinthorn The original Easter is the Jewish passover which lasts 7 days or 8 days for the orthodox. It is also the first feast of the religious year. The original calendar (not the Babylonian/Jewish) used the vernal Equinox (Mar 21) to begin a 14 day count to the original day of passover where all firstborn of Egypt (sons of Adam) were judged. Maybe a 364 day (Enoch) system with 30 day months.

Today Easter is based on the first Sunday after full moon which is nothing like the original.

  • @yarrw Meh, Paul said when men celebrate days doesn't matter.

  • @vedinthorn You are right Jn 6:63 "It is the Spirit that gives life. The flesh is useless......"

  • @vedinthorn The Holy Spirit also revealed through Paul that he is a God of order and that there is no fellowship between Belial and the Lord. It is the evil of Balaam warned about in Revelation where men would mingle the abominable idolatrous practices with the worship of the Lord. When Israel built a golden calf they called it the LORD and worshipped it as such. The worship of the Lord is to be done in the beauty of holiness, not in the unclean abominations of idolatry-in all its forms.

  • @HermitintheRain Right...you don't celebrate Zeus Day or have sex in a temple to worship Aphrodite, or burn your children for Chemosh, or make large fallus poles to worship (I think) Ashtoreth. Has nothing to do with celebrating the Lord's resurrection from the dead on any given day.

  • @vedinthorn Aaron's sons thought they would play with strange fire and died immediately. With all of David's good intentions to bring the ark to its resting place, yet because he failed to do so according to God's word Uzza died. The book of Judges is full of a people who did what was right in their own eyes, with no real regard to God's way. He who would worship God in spirit and truth will worship God according to his command and according to his word.

  • @HermitintheRain Where in the Bible is the instruction to properly celebrate the Resurrection then? There isn't one for a holiday, so we can do it on any day we want.

  • @vedinthorn and the Bible agrees with that, especially Romans 14. what we do also see in the New Testament is the reality that believers gathered each week on the first day of the week to break bread and drink wine in remembrance of the Lord's resurrection; as well as sing psalms, spiritual hymns, etc. Hebrews also reminds us not to forsake such gatherings as is the habit of some. Something that was said in a climate where gathering together was literally a grave risk to their lives.

  • @vedinthorn but it is vain for one to believe that one only needs to come to church on Sunday, where the rest of the week has no remembrance for what the Lord has done for them. going to church on Sunday is not a requirement, but a blessing provided by the Lord for those who through the week struggle against the world, and find the chance to fellowship with others of like precious faith a true blessing. Just as Psalms speaks of the joy to go to the house of the LORD.

  • @vedinthorn the only instruction regarding the remembrance of the Lord's resurrection is found in the Lord's Supper. This is something that has only been done collectively among a body of believers. There is no record of anyone observing this remembrance alone.

  • @HermitintheRain Right, but that isn't a holiday of special celebration. Since the Bible gives us the freedom to add any number of holidays to the calendar, we can absolutely add days to celebrate the Resurrection, the birth of Christ, the deaths of the Apostles, or most anything we want.

  • @ofreshartist OK!! Throwing mine out of the window!!

  • @ofreshartist "homosexual offenders" What's your issue? It says the modern, more clearly understood phrase right there in your own quote.

  • The best Bible is the original Greek NT and the Hebrew OT. Any other translation is imperfect, but the most important thing is the fidelity to the original text. The reason why Mt 18,11 is not in the NIV on the main page, but it is indeed as a footnote, is because this verse is not found in the most reliable manuscripts of the Gospel of Matthew. Please, get informed before making a statement. Maybe others will take what you say for granted and not do a research of their own

  • Well, that verse along with a lot more verses are not in "the most reliable manuscripts". The Alexandrian manuscripts, Sinaiticus and Vaticanus are the 2 and only manuscripts used by Wescott and Hort. The TR which is made up of 5,000 manuscripts all have these verses. YOU need to get informed before making a statement. Just in the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus there are 13,000 word differences just in the NT. The critical text is corrupt. The TR is about 98% exact of the 5,000. God bless!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • geedup415... Are you aware that the Latin Vulgate was used in translating part of the Bible?

Answer these questions after you check it out for yourself.

ALL of the Hebrew Manuscripts in Isaiah 19:10 read "soul", but the KJV reads "fish".

ALL of the Hebrew Manuscripts in Genesis 36:24 read "found water", but the KJV reads "found mules".

ALL of the Hebrew Manuscripts in Mal 2:12 read "aware & awake". The KJV reads "the master & the scholar". This follows the Latin Vulgate.

  • @geedup415 In point of fact, they DID use additional manuscripts, but considered the readings of Aleph and B to be superior in most every case.

  • check this vid out:

    watch?v=KgYHJ9CTt_g

  • Yeah!.. Isn't just as bad to add words to the bible as taking away such as the KJV does?

  • Indeed.

  • Amen brother!! National Sunday Law by A. Jan Marcussen is a great tool to get the 3 angels messages out to the world!

  • Good teaching God bless you.

    Brother Mike

  • Are you using a web translator?

Because if you are not you need to go back to school.

  • Isn't this a bit of nickpicking?

What about all the words that the KJV translaters added to the Bible without telling us?

  • This is one of the many holes in KJV Onlyism.
