I saw the Big Town Playboys in 1983 in Dublin Castle, a musicpub in Camden Town, London. It was fabulous ! After that I bought all the records. The first one is the best.

Good evening, I think you'll find the Tenor Player is one Alan Nichols from Wrexham North Wales. Great player. Nick Lunt (Jools Hollands guy in recent years) Still works with Mike but always plays Bari.

Saw the playboys twice in the nineties. The absolute bomb. Can't help thinking that fifty years ago they and mike would be internationally famous... Nice to see them again on youtube. Keep it coming!

Who is Mike Sanchez? And who is the GREAT tenor sax player? I have never heard of him, but this is outstanding.

The tenor sax player is Nick Lunt.

the wonderful nick does sometimes play baritone with mike but this is not him. i don't know this bloke's name - the brilliant al nicholls is on tenor.
