Too often adults dismiss the thoughts and hurts of a youth as not that important or serious. That mistake can be disastrous. I knew what serious hurt was when I was a young kid but that hurt has allowed me to be accepted among and be completely safe in our nations most dangerous gangs.

I have prevented gay youth as young as 11 from committing suicide. Most are Christians and feel the hate, rejection, ridicule and meanness of those who should love them. The feel like there is no hope for them to have a happy life and love who they want. They would rather die than to live life in loneliness and in a lie.
