I really hope this song really reflects the rest of this album. This song succeeds at creating a truly relatable experience for the listener talking about bringing about change in their life and turning themselves around. Which, in my humble opinion, is just about as anti-emo as it can get.

These guys have musical talent. Whatever effects are put on Kyle's voice are just that, effects. Hardly different to EQ, Compression, Reverb or limiting. It makes a specific sound that they like to have in their music.

It's melodic hardcore. Yes it's surprising to see it on Nuclear Blast. I normally like death/black/progressive metal but this is pretty good. Now shut the fuck up.
nuclear blast has a large collection of quality bands surprisingly, my only issue with this song is it is very simplistic in the lyrics, lacking in the poet draw, but the sound is incredible (yes, good lyrics, I just prefer slightly more poetic in styling)

It sounds alright. I don't get why people are crying that this isn't real Metal and it's killing real Metal etc. Sure this isn't the "real Metal" that we are all use to like Slayer, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse etc etc but this isn't replacing the good old Metal bands and more traditional Metal. Just think of it as bringing more people into the Metal genre as a whole.

The vocals used in this song are the high pitched emo shit found in every other mallcore band. You are the one that needs to grow up kid.
