Some speakers got up on the stage and made some speeches, some music was played and buttons and t-shirts handed out. It's noble to protest against injustice, even if the particular injustice helps you. That is to say, even if one truly believed that Obama's economic/tax policies would be an overall net for the poor/middle class, they could still protest against said plan if they felt it was unfair and unjust overall (not just how it affects them personally). In reality though, his plans will hurt not only the rich, but the middle class, the poor and standard of living for all.
