  • bend over here it comes again

  • Bohica is a name i never heard of.

  • Yeah i heard the same thing. That was that instance i was refrencing. Ive heard mixed statements in regards to the hammer involved. Some say yes some say no. i said screw it and bought a Zel Mfg .50 instead.

  • u needa make some bohica apparel publicly available on ur site, who doesnt want to sport that cute moose??

  • @phuxwe11

nvm its a donkey i withdraw my statement

  • Love .50 calibers, nice gun

  • Chris, Check out my vid of me shooting one of your 24" uppers. It's a blast to shoot. That same day I shot a .455" ctc group at 100yards with my 570gr hunting load. So far I have not had the chance to shoot the 30" upper at long range, I'll let you know when I do. Keep up the good work. TMC

  • Chris, take a look at the 24" upper you sold me a few years ago... I have only good things to day about it. With my hunting loads I shot a .455ctc group at 100yds. Not its time to run it out to 400 or more and see what it will do. Thanks for very good upper at a great price. Tim C

  • cool do they sell their lowers like that?

  • ahhh nice guns i want one!

  • does annyone know if there exist an .50bmg rifle whit the straight pull bolt action ?

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

this is a bolt action, what exactly do you mean?

  • @tapper45 well, because you realy must search good or you must know somme names to get here, this looked the perfect place to ask if there is an straight pul bolt action .50bmg rifle ?

but i know now there is one

straight pul bolt action, is when you dont have to rotate the bolt, so you have an higher firerate

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

then you're talking about a "semi auto rifle".

not to be confused with a "bolt action" rifle.

try bushmaster and barrett, the prices go up dramatically.

  • @tapper45 nope

iam talking about straight pul bolt action

iam not talking about an semi automatic with low velocity bullets or shit

iam talking about the action like the vssk vychlop has

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

i just did some reading on the vssk vychlop.

apparently i'm a little behind as i had not even been aware of this gun

since i hadn't captured one yet.

however, now that i have done a little research i am now aware that the vssk vychlop IS a semi auto.

do some reading and get back to me.

i am still a little confused on how a bolt action rifle that does not have a rotating bolt can lock into battery before primer/bullet ignition unless there is a bc with rotating bolt.

  • @tapper45 indeed, but that isnt a 12.7x99mm

but i must laso say, i already found an .50bmg

yea i saw the website that says semi automatic

    but that isnt just posible

    they are wrong

if the gun only shoots low velocity bullets, it will never be semi automatic verry fast

and then you have the blaser r93 tactical, and some others i dont remember on this moment

    they exist

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

are you american or a foreigner?

i'm having trouble understanding your sentences.

i was talking about the same vssk vychlop you were talking about.

the fact that it uses low velocity bullets doesn't have anything to do with how fast it can fire in the semi auto mode.

    i have a blaser r93 tact, i just didn't realize that's what you meant.

it's good rifle but it is bolt action as opposed to the semi vssk .

  • @tapper45 vssk vintorez is straight pul bolt action

    said on modern firearms

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

i'll check it out after ufc is over, i'm recording 2 other movies and i have to watch ufc live or i'll miss it.

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

    i just found it...

"Vychlop" sniper rifle utilizes manually operated, straight pull bolt action, with rotary locking bolt head.

    from...

    world.guns.ru/sniper/sn72-e.htm

the bolt design is some kind of hybrid/improved saiga/ak design.

rotates the same way only a little different.

that's all i can tell from the pictures i could find.

would be nice to see a video on it though.

  • @tapper45 saiga ?

didnt readed the article verry good then ?

yea well, i also didnt find an vid with footage of it annywhere

  • @dontmakemeMAD1990

yeah, i guess there aren't a lot of them just floating around due to the batfe import embargo.

there isn't much on the net that i have found that isn't just a copy of another website.

i'll ask some people at work next week to see if i can come up with anything else.

  • @tapper45 yea those copies are anoying

i dont know what people whant to proove by totaly copie wikipedia

  • yea really

  • my buddy just picked up one today at the gin show i will put up a vid of shooting the bohica 50 next week..

  • great gun untill it fires out of battery and almost kills you

  • @DeathHand5150

how many bolt action, documented out of battery incidents are you aware of, what rifle, circumstances and links too?

  • @DeathHand5150 is that a common occurrence? Because, I read that the guy that happed to was an idiot and was hammering the bolt shut with a hammer for some reason? I also read that he reloaded his rounds to "hot", but I don't know, do you? Sources please.

  • I might think twice about buying this conversion

With a brand name like BOHICA

  • The recoil isn't as bad as a 3" 12 gauge turkey load. I have about 500 rounds through mine with no problems.

  • oh?

  • Hahaha sweet jesus, did anybody else notice the magpul iron sights on that thing?

  • there actually made from a polymere. and magpul recomends not installing your front sight mbus on the gas block due to heat tranfer

  • LoL i know, saying iron sights is a force of habit.

  • @santange7

i was kinda just bein a smart ass lol, but then i thought maybe someone who doesnt know the diffrence might appreciate the info. i think im gunna go with the ARMS #40L for my next rear sight, i have the mbus and like it alot, tossed it on and it was zeroed and co-witnessed with my reflex sight.

  • Yeah I had a set of them, they were great, except they were a little bulky, wouldn't fit under my old optic. I found a deal for a set of Troy Industries sights, and I've never looked back. I've also used MI sights and Matech, Troy has been the nicest. Good luck with your rifle.

  • @santange7

you like the troys better than the matech? i like that the matechs have the quick distance adjustments. i have heard great things about the troy sights though.

  • @f8talh8red Don't get me wrong, the Matech was a pretty good sight, it just wore out. There is a small catch that holds down the spring loaded sight tower that wears down over time, and after it wears down the sight tower randomly flips up, or just won't stay down at all.

  • @santange7

good to know, thanks for the heads up santage.

  • more info please cux i was thinking of buying one of these.

  • Comment removed

  • Wait, DAMNIT, he was at the SAR show, huh? Guess I missed him.. Was he selling the uppers at the show?

  • Yes, they were in the SAR building near the center, one row in from the east wall if I remember correctly

  • @hijakk

  • Jesus, I bet the recoil will knock you on your ass. There is not a damper. I would buy it! lol

  • Sweet Jesus an M68 Aimpoint on a .50BMG? WTF? CQB with a single shot .50?

Ok... one good shot and you make shickenshit salad out of your target and the rest of them RUN... ok... making sense now! LMAO!

Question... how much wear on a lower (ie warping the pins & holes) have you heard using a BOHICA upper on a standard AR15 lower?

Curious because I'm thinking of getting one myself.

    Go "dedicated lower"?

  • nice...

  • Sweet

  • you cant shoot it at serp, where are you supposed to shoot?

  • 3 points, the Marana shooting club, or the desert

  • the .50 bmg has always seem like overkill to me i meen there are better rounds out the like the .408 cheytec beyond 600 yards she hits with more force then the .50 and has the same range. but thats me

  • i agree to an extent... it's complete overkill for any soft target at any range... however, if you're talking about engaging vehicles i would say very few normal rounds can top it.... as far as shooting it off an AR platform... not so sure about that :P

  • That's using standard Ball ammo. If you put a 750 grn A-Max with a BC of 1.05 then the .50 BMG is a much better round.

  • @OneShot2Kills i totally agree but you also have to look at the cost.... i dont think too many people can afford the chey tac m200 much less be able to feed it after they get it , this is just the cheap alternative to the chey tac or almost any other .50bmg rifle

  • @OneShot2Kills The 50BMG is a common round to the military though, not the 408. Also with match quality ammo it has extremely high ballistic coefficient. Equal to or greater than the CheyTac. There is also easy access to AP, API, APIT ammo online. Cheytac is an impressive gun system and caliber but the 50bmg still has great performance, selection, and commonality.

  • @OneShot2Kills wow u found out the real name for an intervention, ur probly 12 and sit on ur ass and play mw2 all day

  • very cool upper.

didn't know about them until now.

    thanks.

  • I don't know anyone who can afford to shoot a .50 BMG rifle.

  • I do, the government.

  • Nice!

    5/5

  • how much $?

  • @Guyya93 1300 for just the upper. Bohica Mk-III Configurations 16.5" --- $1,395 24" ----- $1,295 30" ----- $1,395 36" ----- $1,695 Tactical Carbine Pkg - $1,595 16.5 Barrel Carbine length free float handguard Vertical foregrip Got this from the Bohicha website.
  • wow for a .50 BMG thats not rele that bad!!! thanx!!

  • you can buy one for £800? :O
