@etrax2000 excuse me. no the show is based on prison life, and a prisoner lifestyle. the show was alot more than homosexuals, its just infact that their is alot of homosexual activity. but yet there was killing, drug dealing, riots, fighting, rape, grief. so i think you shouldn't assume the writers are homosexuals, and who are you to assume anybody of their sexual identity.

The Wire and OZ...the only two series ever worth making by HBO. This shit aint just story telling..its fucking Legend tv. THIS is TV. I'd gladly spend the rest of my life watching - the few days I do actualy watch tv- these two series, rather than the bullshit they spill out nowadays PRAYING for an award. And they were always portrayed as one of the better groups of men in the prison; you saw how they protected Diane during the riot. I still like this show and i used to watch the whole episodes on HBO. I think that for the most part the acting and plots were good but it seemed like they ran out of ideas sometimes. I dunno, maybe because they killed off some of my favorite characters.

I still think that the acting was goofy sometimes but not always.

Still a hardcore show that's still worth watching.
