You don't reuse clips (or if you do it's so rare that I don't notice them), you pick music that actually fits the video instead of whatever Disturbed/Nickleback/Linkin Park song that tickles your fancy, and you actually match up the clips to the tempo of the song you've selected.
In fact, this is how people should do fan based music videos in general. Hats off to you.
