@Forsure3333 Dear Redfoot, I've had lots of juice for a month. However, I stopped at one point. I put the juicer away and bougth a blender because it is less expensive since it takes less veggie and the blender mix fills me up more. But I'm not crazy about blenders either. I've taken back the road of bad food lately (muffins, cookies, donoughts, etc.). I'm not sure what I'm going to do next.
I think I can fully understand how you're feeling. It's tough to get used to a routine and it's not practical for all situations. Why not just juice once a week for a while just to keep it in your lifestyle. Try that for me, if you can, I just believe that any juicing is better than none...and, the blender idea isn't that bad...actually, w/green leafy veggies, blender is awesome. Maybe stick to carrots, celery and apples for a while it's one of each...and maybe a pinch of
Please don't give up!! I know you're going to enjoy the benefits. We all loose ground and fall into the sweets sometimes. HUGS!! I know you can do it!!
sorry for the long delay...my replies are a little behind...sorry. :)
For clear skin, I have been using cucumber, carrot and lemon with a fist full of spinach...my skin is super oily and this seems to help...but, it took me time to see results. :)
I need something for my eyes to see better and not have to wear glasses ever again, I was told by the physican that I have a astigmatism, I don't claim it, but the symptoms are there. I need a recipe for this. Also what can I drink to clear up my brown spots on the skin? Is there way to freeze my fruits and vegetables and they last longer, Fresh fruit is really expensive here in St.Louis, Mo. Now I drink protein shakes, 2-3 times a day.
I too have been told I have astigmatism...I have been prescribed glasses 1 1/2 years ago...I can see, however, there is a blur, only slightly...I have noticed that juicing seems to help me...I won't go so far as to say I'm over the astigmatism, but, I can say the extra blurry vision is not as pronounced...but, my doctors think I'm just being hopeful...I believe my eyes are strenthened; maybe not perfect, but strengthened...
I would suggest adding a dash of cayenne pepper (powder/flakes) to your vegetable juices. Cayenne pepper is great for circulation and with circulation, our blood stream and our organs are given a "boost"...this is a wonderful spice. You may want to use ginger root, a little goes a long ways...but just a knob (the size of your thumb) is more than enough for 2-5 juices. You can use frozen vegetable; all of the plain, unseasoned veggies are just as good to juice as fresh. Actually, they are better.
they are better because they have nutrients locked in at their peak of freshness. Just make sure to buy the oridinary ones. Generics are great; store brands are great; they're just as nice as the national brands. Great job...you're doing protein shakes, so, you are really into your health..BRAVO!! :) I wish everyone would try protein shakes; they are so good for us!! buy your cabbage and carrots fresh; the rest is great frozen.
Also, about the brown spots, rubbing a bit of lemon juice or a lemon wedge directly over the area prior to your regular routine can help to gently fade the spots while the juicing will start on the inside. You can use bottled lemon or fresh; both are fine for this. I have had uneven skin tone at times in my life; now, it's improved; not perfect, but improved.
Excellent work. The big props I will give you is for sharing personal benefits based through your own results. I read about results all the time, but nothing is better than the person saying what it did for them as actual proof. So thanks for sharing.
Thank you rashb! I appreciate your feedback. I feel great juicing and I'm glad to be able to share my testimonial with you all. :0) I thank you for watching my video, have a great day!! :0) Nina
hi girl!!! I just got my juicer!!! I love it. I have been juicing carrots, celery, spinach, tomatos, ginger, beets, cucumber, blue berries, black berries, strawberries. granny smith apples, pears I mean what ever is on my fridge and is a fruit or veggie it goes in there. And it never tastes bad! It's soooo goood! I love to hear ur recipies. The hair info is really interesting :)
I'm soooo glad to hear from you and I'm so proud of you!! Juicing is awesome, isn't it!!! :0)
I love the sound of all those fruits and veggies you're using in various combos, you know, I haven't found a combination that's bad either...it's nice to know you're enjoying it!! This time of year, produce is becoming more abundant and it makes me want to carry my juicer to the store. :) LOL I never realized it until that one day that my hair was growing out in the natural color; not grey...cool!!
by the way; I want to add that I really appreciate your kindness and enthusiasm. I look forward to hearing from you again soon!! thanks for watching my video!! :0) Nina
Thanks so much for posting this! You are really doing a good deed by spreading the word on juicing. I have been doing it for two weeks and I absolutely love it!
Hey there!! Oh, I'm think like you; I never believe in throwing pulp away, I always make a fruit/veggie leathers or add it to homemade breads. I even sometimes spread the pulp on top of warm rusks!! Yummy! I just made a delightful loaf of bread using the pulp...it was fantastic!!! :0)
Your Juicing mini seminar thank you. I started juicing 1/08 - 2/08. I did it to maintain pollups that were found in my body in 11/07. The pollups were maintained an no growth and I knew it was due to juicing. My daughter arrived from out of town and said I looked fabulous in 3/08. I told her it was the juicing in addition to my workouts. When I stopped juicing I notice a difference in my body (not good) I am back juicing. Nothing like it. I will watch your tapes during my detoxification.
Thank you so much for watching my video! I love to hear testimonials and yours validates the benefits of juicing. It's something that juicers discover quickly! I can't begin to tell you all the benefits I've encountered. I plan to go right now to purchase more beets, cabbage, carrots, and spinach. My children have been following right behind me (11&6 y/o). I am proud of them! Thanks again!
way to go! im really proud of you, im a 19 year white male and involved heavily in juicing. im really surprised and happy to see an African American juicing. very few americans even know how to nourish their body. and even fewer african americans. im so glad you get your kids involved. their bodies will develop charmingly as nature intended. i plan on teaching my kids when that day comes. also try adding radishes to your juice, it really vitalizes the juice and is so good for lungs.
:0) thank you...I love juicing tremendously and I cannot imagine living outside of the juicing lifestyle; I'm trying to encourage my neighbors and extended family to give it a try. Wish me luck! lol . Thanks for watching my video! :0) have a great day! Nina
Well, my sister, you definitely have some glow about yourself. Some questions: what do you do for detox? Do you have tips on managing cost - economy, notwithstanding - of produce? By the way, trust me, you truly look about 25 years old; I automatically figured you were in your twenties.
Thank you! Yes, juicing has transformed my life and I feel younger and younger...I honestly never tire out during the day regardless of how busy I am. I also feel I sleep better at night too. My children juice in the mornings with me; they'll have some sprouted bread and maybe an little cup of kefir. I look forward to hearing from you again soon!! Thank you for checking out my video. I apologize for the delay in reply. I have been working on Science fair projects w/or girls! :0)
Thanks for this informative vid. I can see it's been up for a while, but I just bought a juicer like a few days ago. And my head has 3 or 4 strands of gray. I need to heal my body that's why I bought it. Thanks for the informative vid.
You are most welcome! Thank you for watching my video. This video is about 3 months old and some days...I love juicing and I'm thrilled to hear you are diving into juicing as a way of life. I have been noticing so many wonderful benefits and my children even juice with me! When my gray hairs disappeared, I was hooked. My hairs is still staying dark brown, still haven't found any resurfacing grays! :0) Have a delightful day! Nina
Hello, Thanks so much for watching my video! Juicing will help with cleansing both liver and colon in time. It will take a little time of continual use, but, yes, it's a great internal cleanser. :0) If you want total colon cleansing in a 6 week time period, for instance, you may be interested in one of the popular herbal colon cleansers; but, juicing will help you in every way you can imagine and beyond. :0) One awesome thing about juicing is u will be regular again, and bloating ceases. :)
ok its very interresting! i have a question! does juicing cleans both the liver and the colon? cause i think i have been carrying a lot of toxin lol since i have never done something like that!
Thanks John! wow, I'm blushing! :) I love juicing so much that my body seems to crave the juices over a lot of other food choices! Friends forever!!! Nina
Wow, incredible video, You look great. I love the advice and now I have to dig out my juicer. I hate the mess it (I) make with the juicer, but need to detoxify. Thanks for the informative and enlightening video. Friends forever. John.
Hello Pat, Thank you so much for watching my video!! :) I am so thrilled you've chosen juicing as a part of your lifestyle! You will be pleasantly transformed inside and out!! You are most welcome and I will try to make new juicing videos very soon!! :) Nina
Hi Nina, thanks for your video post on juicing. I've been juicing now for a few weeks, along with detoxing the body and I must say that it's been a transformative journey. I have been using live food as well as frozen. Very interested in your juice recipe for digestive problems and stomach distress. Thanks again for sharing your experience with all of us.
Hi. Thanks for your messaging on juicing. I just got a Jack Lalane juicer that I told my mom about and she bought us both one. I am 45. Right now I look 35, but I want to feel and look healthier. Your comments just made my day. I will be heading out in a few to stock up on fresh fruits and vegs. Thanks again.
Hi Denise! Thanks for your comment. I apologize for taking so long to comment. I just got back from a 9 day roadtrip! I am glad you found my video and I am inspired by you. Juicing changes lives in such a beautiful way!! :) Have a great day!!! Nina
LOL...Thank you my sister for that kind comment...:) For the "digestive" problems...
You need a pear, jicama (often found in Mexican food stores; looks like a potato sort of), if you don't have jicama, add two pears, and a thumb sized piece of fresh ginger. This is great for cramps, the ginger is the key. I will send more details in a bit! :)
im soo gona buy a juicing book and start today cus i hav a grey hair .....and i want to get rid of it. But im gona try it and see what happens
