It isn't mine. But I did talk to the guy at the show before he left. :) He was pretty happy with it -- said it goes like the proverbial bat out of hell. Purists do hate it when hot rodders get their hands on classics -- in the 50s I am sure some old folks shook their heads at the kids making their t-buckets too. Not much has changed it seems.
Interesting and different.......what does it go like? how heavy is the front end with that donk in it? and is it still a nimble little sportscar? Obviously to the classic oficianado's you've just crapped on their dinner plate, but hey, to each their own. I have a classic 1972 spitfire, slightly tuned but mostly original. Part of me makes me wince at what you've (if its yours) done, but most of me likes it. what sort of bhp? whats the 0-60 and 100mph like and how awesome is it to drive???
@sootyferrari65 Depends on what shape it was in when they found it too. If it was just a tub in a junk yard, then go for it. If you're doing the work & saving a rust monster from the grave, you deserve to build whatever the hell you want. If it was a formerly a GT6 show car and they gutted it, then that's different.
Haters gonna hate.
