I've loved this song forever, and like the guys comments at the top.....life, when it was good. Playin' hide and seek, hiding with the cute girl down the street...they never could find us... heh heh.
A Northern soul/rare groove semi-hit in the uk for Paul Carrack who deserved more. Someone I knew back in the day went to see this band and said that apart from the singer, the rest of them were stood around hardly involved or doing anything much at all.
@cme98 ... fuck i just passed out, like no way, this was like one of the top 10-songs of the 70s, if not top 3. We need to know more about this band & the song.
Summer of 74. No cell phones, ipad, MP3 players, Xbox, ect.. Just classic jams like this, am fm cassette player radios blasting hit after hit, 4 C size batteries, a park with handball courts, pink spaldeens, basketball courts, swings, monkey bars, sprinklers, trees, tons of friends hangin out, levi jeans, and pot. If you grew up in Brooklyn, this was a day in paradise. Songs like this, are timeless....

the vocal guy is so cute, none of the others are. Probably rhymes with the future of the band.

@cme98 The 'vocal guy' is Paul Carrack
