ok, I may have commented a tad too early--hadn't gotten thru the entire song. You might need a little work on that carry-over of "Down" from the bridge. It is completely pitchy and it sounds terribly forced. I know it is a difficult note, indeed I've even seen Ms. Bareilles look as though she might struggle with it at times on some of the live tracks. At any rate, you had a nice recovery toward the end. I still enjoyed the cover very much.

Just wonderful. Again, it is nice to see a man taking on this powerful song. My only criticism/question is what the heck is that black spot distorting the right half of the camera shot? No criticisms on the vocals though. Great job!

Who are the ten people who didn't like this? Do they not have eardrums? This is incredible. Your voice is amazing, and you have a beautiful falsetto. I do have on tip to offer though. Try opening your throat a bit more when you go for those high notes. The "keeping me down line" seemed a little strained. If you open your throat a bit more, it will allow better air flow and make the note easier to reach.

It's difficult to do a cover that adds to the original, but you definitely did. Would only suggest that when you use your air to hit the high note more gently and smoothly (focus on air going between stomach/head, rather than your throat). The high note is a powerful part of the song that Sara always managed to make sublime, and I think this had less to do with her belting, but her using her air well to make the high note sound sweet and effortless. Anyway, good job!

aside from the piano being a bit out of tune, very nice! pleasant voice, very expressive, i love all the little nuances. however, be careful of placement for intonation and to keep a consistent timbre. you have the tendency to open up to a slightly pushed tone in the middle of phrases of sustained notes and certain notes, which changes the color. otherwise, bravo! i thoroughly enjoyed it! your voice reminds me of a combination of Jason Mraz and JT.. plus you're very attractive!
