To Animalwelfare22 - wow, you must have finally found the 1-2 circuses in the entire world that do not abuse animals in any sense of the word. Personally, I do not believe you. Circus control & training methods alone are Abusive.
Ringling is doing an amazing job in evolving their training methods. Extremists consider having any animal domesticated is a sin. The animals are trained basically the same way as dogs and cats. The training I assisted with horses was alot more humane than training I have seen in the cowboy fashion.
To all of you people who think circuses abuse animals, they don't. I spent two years undercover investigating circuses, and the animals are take care of wonderfully.
I worked for this show for almost two years and never saw an animal beaten. I really cared about the horses I took care of and I worked very closely to the elephants and I saw how they behaved on a daily basis. They seemed to be a healthy herd without the stress of a threat of death. They have a daily schedule of being fed and watered, exercised and groomed on a regular basis. They also have a routine veterinary care and government inspections almost weekly.
everyone think is it disgusting what they make them do true some of the things are purely unatural that doesnt mean they can be taught it and taught is humanely....do dogs in the wild give hi-5s/beg/pray or shake no but we can train them to do it and humanely that is the problem I have they chose to go the non compassionate way to train and treat.
Ah but they do they hide it they have been filed against for the it and they paid 20,000 to drop it. If ou went to the pre show you probably are saying they look fine to be but with an animal history here they behavoirs exhibited by horses, zebras and camels are abnormal due to stress of small confienment and bordoem.
Everything they say they do for all their animals on there website is all the oppisite. Im ersonaly not stopping people from going its a great entiertanment one reason teh FDA isnt putting a law on animals in that business im trying to get them to change their training and give better facilites they may even be surprised that their animals may even perform better.
guys get a life like they wouldn't be able to operate if they beat animals they get inspected in every city to make sure of it i know cuz my brothers friend works for it

Ringling Bros does not beat the animals. Plain and simple. Other circuses, perhaps. Not RBBB.
