Most of the girls that you talk with in the Orchard Towers bars (predominantly Filipinas) are in Singapore on one to three-month tourist visas and are working under the table to support their families back home for SNG $5 per bought over-priced drink (after 5 drinks, they can negotiate to leave the bar with their 'customer'); more often than not the girls' parents are taking care of their children as the biological father split the scene or divorced the mother and disappeared.
