The Strom gets good write up from most reviews, though official reviews state not really for off road use...did alright on the rough bit with the snow there though eh? Nice...although the riders skill is half the battle !!! I have SV1000 SZ limited edition one, thinking about Vstrom for distance travel and pillion (wife gets back ache on back of sports bike!!) would like to have both though LOL...same engine though uses the tamed down TL1000 engine, which is a monster!!!

I rode the SV1000, leaning so forward hurt my wrist. The V Strom much more comfortable

@KendrickMcMurphy The DL 1000 is not Discontinued. Saw brand new 2010 models in the show room in Vancouver BC when i got some servicing done last month
