To me Zero Wing is brutal because the translation is an eyesore. Ghosts N Goblins, shadow of the beast 1,Battletoads for the nes,and megadrive,Ghouls N Ghosts/SuperGNG are very brutal!!

Truth be told, I've played Ghouls and Ghosts to death so much as a kid, that I no longer find the game difficult. (Loop 2 4th boss aside of course) Super Ghouls and Ghosts trips me up in certain levels (the tower mid-way through the game and the final set of stages spring to mind.)

Battletoads is borderline unplayable with it's difficulty, that bike segment at the start of the game put me off playing any further.

I remember your Ghouls N Ghosts playthrough it was AMAZING!! Super GnG made me a little insane, Battletoads Arcade IS AWESOME but gory but I dont care its awesome

Usually it spins the roulette wheel in top right corner, and gives you an item at random.

On the highest difficulty how-ever, the only item it gives you is a bomb, that damages you.
