I love this album as a whole and this song is great just like the others. Yeah I sorta wish they went back to doing their older stuff, like Under a Violent Moon (Def top 5 of their best songs) but for me, if Candice Night is singing and Richie Blackmore is playin' a guitar, then it's still Blackmore's Night for me =]

If I was just to purchase one BN album which one should it be? I like beautiful haunting melodies, great musicianship from many different instruments and some astonishing but original electric guitar playing. Which one should it be and why?

@jmsbk12345 I could recommend the Fires At Midnight album (I uploaded some songs here on youtube), but every album by BN is great in my opinion. Listen the songs from all the albums and then you can decide what you like the best ;)

@jmsbk12345 I cannot recommend Ghost Of A Rose highly enough. Shadow of The Moon was my first, but Ghost Of A Rose has stood out thru the years to me as their best.

It's always unlikely for a cover to be superior to the original, i think if falls a tad short of it, but that doesn't mean this isn't a great song! Blackmore's Night is always the best, but then again so is Nordman, methinks we have ourselves a dilemma haha

I just listened to the other versions of this song, and I definitely like this one the best. The others are also very good, but it's nice to have some English lyrics so I can follow. Oh, and I like girls singing, too :P

You gotta admit that Nordman has a way more unique voice, and this is too modernized as this song originated in swedish folkmusic, which isn't often accompanied with a keyboard :)

Okay I am a big Nordman fan and I love how hard their songs are and the singer's raspy voice, this one is sung by a girl, she's good ok, and they've changed the music to fit this version. I can say it's good, but the original is far better than this.

The song pays homage to Nordman's original, with several references to the lyrics of Vandraren (from 4 different translations I've read, there are several references)

The lyrics are not available anywhere yet, but I've been able to transcribe it to computer. (for my own use) I was actually surprised, they weren't included in the album cover for the CD.

Candice è davvero un'angelo con la sua voce,e anche Ritchie è un "fenomeno"!Hanno dei pezzi che è IL MASSIMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!sono davvero i migliori!musica da far venire brividi!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tutti gli album sono bellissimi ma questo è sicuramente emozionante anche per qualcuno che gli sente per la prima volta!

@sandiz83 The song itself wasn't translated, but re-worked. (the English translation doesn't match the music beat, though there are several references from the original in Candice's lyrics. (from what I can read of 4 difference Swedish->English translations)
