If you mean the menus, delete some songs in the menu you want to access--it really speeds things up! I'm down to about 20 on the extreme list, and it loads really fast now :)

General lag issues? Get an iPod Touch 2G (really, there's no other sensible way). But turning off mail fetch, auto-brightness, and playing off a clean iPod reset without having launched other apps before playing TTR really helps.
