Thanks so much for the easy to follow steps. I am trying to get everything black and white expect for a red object. The only problem i am having is that there are red tones on the person's face. Anyone know how to go about eliminating that while keeping the object red? Thank you :)

OMG thank you so much! I've been wrecking my brain trying to figure out how the hell to do that. Could we do this if we wanted to do this effect with one person in black and white and everything else in color? Like they did on In Living Color with the character Velma, a 40's dame stuck in the past in the present?

just off the top of my head, depending on what you want to do, do the process for the whole person, and if other parts of the video are in color, create a copy of the clip directly on top and crop it so only that one person is in it and then go to the bottom clip and completely desaturate it. I haven't tried it, but it may work depending on what you want to do.

Thanks man that was great. Is there any way to make a color bleed into a BW clip? In other words, would you be able to start with a totally BW clip and have the color bleed into the girls toy only. Does that make sense? I've seen it done.
