The band has talked about their music getting fresher after John left and also about the writing process and how it differed from when John was with them so... No, John was not part of the writing process of I'm With You. If you listen to the songs, you can hear quite clearly that John hasn't been part of it. It does not sound like John material by a mile.

Josh does not suck at all! When u compare John's playing on first album with RHCP with Josh's on HIS first album u see that the seccond one did a way better job. I expect the very next album to be "a new BSSM" if u know what I mean.

BTW. Unfortunately, Kiedis' singing is geting worse and worse :(

@TheBenoslaw1234 I hope that will happen, but I remember one of them saying they were pissing around on album 1, getting tattoos, shagging girls etc, then for BSSM they decided to forget that stuff and focus on making good music. It worked and BSSM was awesome, but made John unhappy. I think the next album will get better too, Josh has confidence now.

I like Josh...i just think that in the album it felt like he was playing it safe (which makes sense...john is a tough person to live up to) and i just wanna hear more of his style show. It was a smart idea having him since he already plays with RHCP in the background at concerts as rhythm when John was lead guitarist.
