What a prick! A glorious, talented, gifted, magnificent, arogant, world altering prick! And I thank my lucky stars every day for him & people just like him!!!!!!!!
I like that they recorded the group playing together; the group has a sound and they capture it, no 24 tracks or digital mastering. Its a group working together capturing their sound; each instrument is clear, each having a mike. The base must be a six-string guitar downbeating Berry's lead.
The music is great, but I think the lyrics are genius. Few songs back then had a twist like this one. I love that Marie's true identity is not revealed until the last verse. Great songwriting!
It's a very beautull song.

I can't believe that I missed him at BB Kings in NY over New Years weekend. He still tours but out in St. Louis Missouri. Not really local.

@henley65 Well said, and I doubt that Keith Richards would disagree with you.

Chuck's lyrics were fabulous. The music, well... ask Keith Richards, Lennon, Jeff Beck.... they all have study Berry chords, back on school.
