  • what kinda dog is peewee? plott?

  • haha peewee! :D

  • For all those "dog lovers". Please try to understand that certain breeds were created with the intent of being "working dogs". Their purpose was to protect households, guard property and hunt wild game. These dogs are just fulfilling their God given primal instincts to feed their prey drive and please their handlers. With that said, I am a proponent of using protective vests during training and hunting.

  • poor pig

  • It is traditional for the hunter to kill the boar with a blade to the heart, that is why the bay dogs are used to catch the hogs. The dogs are doing what comes natural to them and the hunters are just following tradition started way before our time. Not a sport for the week hearted, but I enjoy it as well as many others.

  • @4794090605 Bay dogs dont catch hogs, catch dogs catch hogs...

  • those are some good pups and i would like to know if you are willing to sell some of them.

  • in cases were you use dogs your not trying to scare them away with gun shots your trying to remove them permanently from the area so dogs are essential for these kinds of hunts they can find more hogs in one day of hunting then you might find in a week of hunting with out them!!!

  • gotta get the walker style in there catch the piggy

  • Torture.

  • I like that shrek dog, hes got a purdy mouth. ive got a walker/mt cur but hes so gritty he would have barked twice then caught

  • Prolly here that bark 3 miles away....with wind in ur favor

  • hog hunting with dogs is fun. are ancesters long before us hunted and (harresed) animals as you would call it, and most of the times you just dont run into hogs and thats where the dogs come in. they trck the hogs down for you.so to all the people saying this is wrong fuck off and if you dont want to see this stuuf dont look it up its that simple

  • i think you should use diferent pigs just keepin 1 to be tortured is a bit bad mate im sure i seen same pig in few videos i dont see nothin wrong cos u trainin them just use new pigs:)

  • in enfland there is a dog called a staffordshire bull terrier which is know for violent behavior have youheard of it and if so why dont people use it in hog hunting?

  • Im not against hog hunting at ALL but this seems like needless danger for a good dog, and needless torment for a hog. Not this training necessarily, but the practice of using dogs to tackle wild pigs. Why not just shoot the damn pig with a high powered rifle and get it over with? Again not a hippy or anything just a dog lover if you will, I'm honestly curious not trying to attack anyone for doing what they love. Please respond, thanks for the vid!

  • @lowew79 I'll agree it is a little dangerous at times for the dogs. but I run vest and do all i can to keep them from getting banged up and the reason I dont just shoot the hogs is for one alot of the places we hunt are surrounded by houses and also i dont like to kill nothing just to kill it I only kill hogs that we are going to eat and the rest we just catch and relocate. but I guess all and all the reason I use dogs is because i love to dog hunt for.. me there's no greater pleasure in life

  • @lowew79 its the way are ancestors did it for hundreds of years why should we change?

  • @lowew79 im not for this at all. but what there doing is training the pups what to do when they get a hog. again. im a hunter and i want to try hog hunting. but to me, this looks like animal harrasment to the pig.

  • @lowew79 Finally, someone who can just ask a question and not just attack us with insults! Well for one using dogs is much more effective, one shot with a high power rifle ever hog in the vicinity of miles will run. For fun you can do that, but in some places population is just to high and you have to get more! Also you have to realize when a catch dog is trained right he grabs by the ear, I can let hogs go 95% of the time because they are un hurt by a dog. They just scream to get other hogs to

  • @TheBoarStopper I didn't realize that you guys were relocating the animals. You let some of them go after you capture them? If that is the case then I can see how the dogs are crucial, be hard to catch a wild boar without one. I had it in my mind that the dog was just "playing" with the pig until you guys got tired of watching and killed the hog. Thanks for all the responses it makes sense now.

  • @lowew79 I let hogs go all the time! Haha.

  • @lowew79 help them out! Also it is just fun! Oh come now how can it not? The baying of the dogs, the snorting of the hog, your running full steam through the brush with a catchdog in hand, you let the dog go he slams head on and you have a hog! Its just amazing!

  • @lowew79 well i can tell you why i personally dont just shoot the hogs. If its a male boar and you shoot it when theire blood gets pumping their testicles realease something that makes the meat tough and make it not taste right. So i catch the hog take it home put it in a pen and remove his nuts get him nice and fat and while i have it i let my dogs chase it around to keep them in shape. Once the hogs ready ill kill it and eat it!

  • @lowew79 i agree. wild pigs are extremly dangerous. i hate hunters that use dogs. its cheating. i have a blue tick. he dont hunt. just my buddy

  • assim é moleus bandos de covardes retardado animais mosntros lixos

  • would german shepherds, dobermans, or rotts. make good catching dogs cause i'm interested in this hunting style and want to train my dogs. And hope the pig was treated or 'relieved' from his ear.

  • The brown pup is going to be a good dog

  • aww those pups are so cute. and such brave little things against that pig.

  • good dogs man specially like that walker

  • I think them pups are lookin great keep it up, we do the same thing and throughout ever dog generation we get better dogs every year.

  • dude if u wanna train your dogs to hunt pigs then take em out for a real hunt with the big dogs and let the pups get in with them aswell and if they get hurt then bad luck it will learn for next time

  • hahahaha so funny barking

  • the only dog that i saw lug the pig luged the leg hahahaha . in a hunting trip that dog would have his guts spilled out. id get rid of that mut. They should be taught to grab the ear

  • @TheOriginalRaptor these are find and bay dogs not catch dogs the only reason he caught was because the hog was gonna catch Ryan ...........But with that being said if you think you got better dogs than my so called muts then bring them and some money to florida and we'll see

  • @carver0100 Do you have any catch dogs or just find and bay dogs? How many pigs do you get on a usual weekend?. (curious) i have a finderbailer and two catchdogs, i find that to be a really good team. i have an aunty in Florida but it would be a pain in the ass to bring my dogs there. you want to put money on it hehehe

  • @carver0100 did your dog get injured when he got ahold of ur pooch?

  • @TheOriginalRaptor no he wouldn't he would by him self or if he was the fasted dog but he would not he just needs a good pack

  • that bloodhound thing sounds so annoying haha. i've got a bloodhound/cattle dog and he doesnt say a word. just eats throats.

  • The pigs like "these yo kids...STFU!!!!!!!!"

  • great vid

  • How often do you train the pups? Daily? Weekly?

  • @TREliteToast i only put them in the pen bout twice a week some times three times and soon as they figure out what a hog is and what they are supposed to do i start taking them to the woods and try not to put them back in a pen cause in my opinion it makes em lazy

  • @carver0100 i am getting a pitbull for xmas (i might get a staffordshire bull terrier)

ill get it 6-12 weeks old probs getting it 8-9 weeks old but anyway when its a puppy how can i teach it 2 hunt (im not gonna go pro and hunt boars lol but i might ill kill things like)(rats/rabbits/birds/things like that)can u tell me the basics for a great hunting dog in march im getting another dog wut would be a good choice?

  • good to see you training the dogs with a relatively mean hog. most of the other pup training videos look like there using domesticated pigs to train the dogs.

  • @dirtysouthfootball yea i like to start pups on a hog that will put a little fight to em if they get to gritty it keeps em honest. cause the last thing i want is a catchy bay dog all they do is either chew the hog up so bad you got to kill it or get their selves and a couple other dogs wrecked.

  • maddd good dog

  • the brendle pup is a keeper i love seeing this
