Me entristeço ao lembrar que foi a magnífica idéia de colocar percursões nacionais que fez a banda quebrar e Max sair.

O SOAD usa de tom de música Islã e isso identifica a banda.

Se o Sepultura mantivesse esse caminho, com certeza teria maior valor no Brasil e até mesmo uma identidade de destaque lá fora, por ser algo não pior, mas que acrescentou algo próprio na banda.

Enfim, vou no Rock in Rio.

I like how Sepultura really paved the way for Metalcore on this album, yet no one ever says anything about them being influences. It's like how rap metal was founded by Anthrax with "I'm the Man" in 1987. This song rocks. This and Lookaway are awesome.

@ChromaticDeathVox nah not really, i think Pantera did, with Vulgar Display of Power. I mean listen to the song "by demons be driven" as an example, there's all thats up with metalcore: screams, breakdowns, hardcore rythms. Pantera invented fuckin modern metal man

I will agree that Pantera definitely had a hand in paving the way as well though. I will say this though, modern metal and metalcore really suck, this album rules, but god do I hate breakdown music.

@GSratm OI didn't say ALL modern metal, but I do think about 98% of it does. The thing is though, when I think of the coined term "modern metal" all that comes to mind, for me, is Lamb of God, and I fucking despise them. Breakdowns and shitty minor 3rd scales do not make you a technical or even aggressive metal band, in my opinion, it just sounds like a cheap Slayer imitation (not that Slayer is lame) that can't stand up to the task of playing fast. Either way this song rules.
