1- Not only was this in a World Cup, but during a quarter final game. The stakes were high.

2- Occurred in a massive stadium, estadio Azteca, which can hold 100,000 plus. The stage was set.

3- Scored after a long run that faked out 6 players (one two times and even the goalie). It showed tremendous skill.

4- It was scored vs. England, a country that Argentina fought a losing war with 4 years earlier. It has great political/emotional value.
