If you want the media to promote a more positive image of Africa you should present them with some positive material. Why not give them an extensive list of prosperous, tolerant, African democracies where minority rights are respected that people are queuing up to enter. @MegaWhatif I think a lot of people who were born in Australia and have grown up in the Australian culture, are worried that it will be lost. They're worried that the culture they know and are comfortable in, is being taken away by new migrants. I don't personally think that migrant's are bad. But some people get used to a culture and lifestyle and they don't like it when it changes. It's just a bit of insecurity. People will always feel this way. 1. Suburban house with double garage converted into flat (council has no record of this being approved). The house has a single parent family with 3 kids. She went around to talk to the Sudanese family and it turned out they had the taps running full time and thought it was free, that they just had to fill up their glasses etc when they wanted water. Where they come from, they didn't have the luxury of running water and no-one told them how the basics work either.

Why not give them an extensive list of prosperous, tolerant, African democracies where minority rights are respected that people are queuing up to enter. Australia was built on immigration from Britain and Ireland. The rest bludge off what was already built...the hard stuff (like building essential infrastructure) was already done by hardworking british (and irish) migrants and convicts). I know what I´m talking about because I am caucasian/european and I´m married to an African man. Africans have stronger belief in God and that´s where it all starts.
