I would imagine the tremollo brush things would be easyer on a 12 string... but if it were tuned to EADGBE im pretty sure the bends would be harder. otherwise it'd be the same as a 6 string...
Superlatives cannot begin to describe the raw emotion coupled with such supple, deceptively relaxed playing in this piece. Bravo my friend, it is as if Lonnie's ghost walks in your fingers. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Blues is hard enough to get right, the feeling, but damn you make it sound even better on a 12 string which is what I've been playing on. If you can get it on a 12 string 6 should be a breeze.
have you ever played a 12 string before? you, sir, are the retard. It feels the exact same way, if you have a cheap 12 string with high action, then that's tough.... Go to a guitar store and play a decent 12 string, anything done with a 6 string acoustic can be done with a 12, it just sounds different.
Sure do stay true to them ol' blues daddy. Thanks for the look and listen! Hope someday you'll learn one of mine. You take em and just make em better and better!!
lol If you like those faces.. Look at B.B Kings Faces... Sweet sixteen live.... When you play blues you get a feeling like the guitar is talking to you. It's a great feeling.
Merk/Type?
daddystovepipe, beautifully played, what a song, and it so reminds me of the master Robert Johnson.Your 12 string rings true like your voice and your overall brilliant feel for this incredible music. Thanks, from a true fan of you and yours.
daddy.. what I like about your playing is that you really know what you are doing there!
lots of people claim they play blues, but they rarely do so, it always sounds fake.type 'blues' & 'guitar' in the search field above and you see what I mean.
Used to live in Belgium in the late 70´es an´ pretty quickly got to know some guitarists, banjoplayers a.s.f who often played in the pedestrian streets, markets, little "speak-easies" - you name it. In all these years long gone I consider you one of the most gifted non-professionals I´ve ever listened to. As you say yourself genious might be too a big word. Talented like hell, then! Always a pleasure to listen to your stuff, Daddy. Who else on The Tube matches Lonnie Johnson but you?
Thanks Terry, but "genius" makes me feel uncomfortable. Everything I do has been done before; I just mix and match it. I'm Belgian, Flemish to be exact (main language is close to Dutch - like American and Australian English:-)
Well lets say that a few folks would love to play a hell of a lot like this... giving some people a great buzz! genius or not...you can bloody well play the blues!

nah man rocknfender is right.
if you have a decent twelve string it's pretty much the same, just feels a little weird until you get used to it.

Het is een kleine wereld niet; de gitaar links is een Martin 21, die rechts een electrische Kay vermoed ik.
