I've seen another video where D. Alejandro says that it will be 60 hs of darkness, not 30 hs... I guess time will tell!:) (pun intended)

We require fear to protect us but if we let it enter into us it can kill us. The Maya don't care if we live or die as they see us as Evil destroyers. Look at what we have done to there beautiful earth.

One could argue that the malicious forces in our world will use their high-technology or their sheer will to use that 30 hours of darkness to build cages all around us.
