Dragonball Z is the only one I know of that has even one of those traits, and that's aimed more at teenagers than young children.

The freckles were left off on purpose by Japanese animators. Freckles in Japan are known as a "curse of the gods". Also, the voice of Archie is none other than Barry Williams of Brady Bunch fame.
