@bemoviedirector Kane was actually picked by Joel Schumacher to play Bane way back in Batman & Robin but the studio said he was too small and wanted to go with Jeep Swenson because of his huge stature. Tom Hardy will make a good Bane. Christopher Nolan is just trying to make it more realistic and stick to the basic principles of Bane's story.
