As for reliability, our Commodore was the worst car my work had ever bought - we had to take it back time after time for all the warranty recalls (paint fell off, computer died, windscreen leaked, brakes failed again, and again, and again). Don't get me wrong, I've had issues with Fords too, but to say that Holden are far superior is just a joke. Buy Jap!

Honestly, both the Commodore and Falcon are great cars for the budget they are made on, but nobody will ever see this and due to their one-eyed-ness will call the opposite car to their liking a shitbox when really both are quite reliable.
Any Holden fan who has some sense will know the Ford's inline six and use of the ZF gearbox makes it better in that sense, though, in comparison.
Let me be clear something up. ford, up untill the BA, had NOTHING to challenge the holdens or hsvs with. So they make a BA XR6 & take performance-enhancing drugs by bolting on a turbo.
Get a life fuckwits, the FG f6 turbo isn't the be all & end all of aussie muscle cars. Hold on, They're not muscle cars, they're just taxis with a bodykit & a bolt-on hairdryer. They share exactly the same inline 6. Bolt on a front mount intercooler, and the wogs and lebos & the fully sick turbo fans will be lining up at the local FPV dealership in no time. No effort made to make a decent car.

Unfortunately sales arent a good judge....ppl buy stuff blindly because of a badge (badge snobs i think they are called!). The Daewoo Kalos when i worked at a dealership were almost rusting they were such slow sellers. Next thing Daewoo shuts down in Oz, the same car somes back a few mths later rebadged as a Holden and voila! you see them everywhere.....makes me laugh. Well I gotta say...I work with a fleet of over 200 Falcons anD Commodores....when you get to drive them both regularly, I have to say the Falcon is an overall better car..ride/handling/engine etc. We have issues with VT's aircons failing, displays,leaking profusely via the rear door seals (a heay shower and the rear footwells become fish ponds). They all have their issues they are both good cars for Oz.

They offer a taxi pack the majority are still baught USED I also believe Holden Recalled the V6 for its quality p/steer pump that would fail on wheels and motor test days Ford have never had this issue. The diffs from the same supplier were going in to the Holden just as fast as the Falco champ don't even the Holden auto. Also note the amount of VE 6's getting whole new engines due to their little con rod issues. You said it for me Holden HALF as good as Falcon.

Mate full diff replacement from the supplier not upgrades I know this for fact as i worked beside the local Holden dealer. It was a power steering recall my best mates wife had her work car recalled. Lets face it we ait going to agree on stuff just how it is, but before you go slaging the Falcon for reliability you might want to have a good look in your own camp first. I knew an EF with 1,068,000km' never even had the head off lets see a Commodore achieve that.

if its the variable steering it would sometimes feel real heavy at low speeds and light at high speeds which it was not made to do it was the opposite
they had hose replacements for vy vz only think i could find is a incorrectly assembled steering gear which may give unpredictable steering or loss of it that one maybe?

I suppose GMH fans need an outlet with these clips for the simple reason Ford's FPV range has consistently out performed the HSV range.
Despite Holdens having more cubes 6.0L and 6.2L they have fallen way off the mark in performance with their ancient engines.
Ford will very soon bring out the 5.0L V8 that has already shown in the USA outperforms the larger cubes and much overated Camaro.
As most Holden fans know,those 5.0L motors will be supercharged in the FPV range.

As for reliability, our Commodore was the worst car my work had ever bought - we had to take it back time after time for all the warranty recalls (paint fell off, computer died, windscreen leaked, brakes failed again, and again, and again). Don't get me wrong, I've had issues with Fords too, but to say that Holden are far superior is just a joke. Buy Jap!

Honestly, both the Commodore and Falcon are great cars for the budget they are made on, but nobody will ever see this and due to their one-eyed-ness will call the opposite car to their liking a shitbox when really both are quite reliable.
Any Holden fan who has some sense will know the Ford's inline six and use of the ZF gearbox makes it better in that sense, though, in comparison.

They share exactly the same inline 6. Bolt on a front mount intercooler, and the wogs and lebos & the fully sick turbo fans will be lining up at the local FPV dealership in no time. No effort made to make a decent car.

Unfortunately sales arent a good judge....ppl buy stuff blindly because of a badge (badge snobs i think they are called!). The Daewoo Kalos when i worked at a dealership were almost rusting they were such slow sellers. Next thing Daewoo shuts down in Oz, the same car somes back a few mths later rebadged as a Holden and voila! you see them everywhere.....makes me laugh. But each to their own.....and I sit on the fence if its good, Ill buy it...Commo just misses the mark againdt the Falcon IMHO.

Well I gotta say...I work with a fleet of over 200 Falcons anD Commodores....when you get to drive them both regularly, I have to say the Falcon is an overall better car..ride/handling/engine etc. We have issues with VT's aircons failing, displays,leaking profusely via the rear door seals (a heay shower and the rear footwells become fish ponds). They all have their issues they are both good cars for Oz.

well that doesnt explain the ford taxi pack then does it? and last wrong they do more radiators power steering pumps diffs brakes autos irs links bushes even rust then anyone its just they run longer on gas and thats the only reason a holden will run 400000 600000 km on lpg and not like it the old cast iron falcon 6 will run 800000 km+ but destroy everything around it and thats it really

They offer a taxi pack the majority are still baught USED I also believe Holden Recalled the V6 for its quality p/steer pump that would fail on wheels and motor test days Ford have never had this issue. The diffs from the same supplier were going in to the Holden just as fast as the Falco champ don't even the Holden auto. Also note the amount of VE 6's getting whole new engines due to their little con rod issues. You said it for me Holden HALF as good as Falcon.

nope they added a cooler it was the hsv cars not a recall dont get upgrading diffs and replacements confused holden stops stocking diffs 4 years after the series has stopped thats why people go to harrop and i have had no drama with my v6 from anything to what you claim

Mate full diff replacement from the supplier not upgrades I know this for fact as i worked beside the local Holden dealer. It was a power steering recall my best mates wife had her work car recalled. Lets face it we ait going to agree on stuff just how it is, but before you go slaging the Falcon for reliability you might want to have a good look in your own camp first. I knew an EF with 1,068,000km' never even had the head off lets see a Commodore achieve that.

everyone worked beside or for someone i worked for ford in the early 90s when they threaten to up and leave australia hey ive owned pretty much every model up until the latest and we have not had a recall for power steering pumps what model are you talking about? i no a road salesman who has a company vy wagon v6 petrol not gas runs it country wide 2 years ago it was running 450,000km treat a car right serves it look after it and it will run huge numbers

Can't remember exactly VX wagon I think wasn't the pump but was something in the power steering system.

if its the variable steering it would sometimes feel real heavy at low speeds and light at high speeds which it was not made to do it was the opposite
they had hose replacements for vy vz only think i could find is a incorrectly assembled steering gear which may give unpredictable steering or loss of it that one maybe?
