  • NICE! Would love to do that in my Fiesta! Vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvrooooooooooom!

  • European cars suck. Ford should keep this thrash in Europe and don't bring it here.

  • I use to own a fit and got rid of it. The anemic engine and the choppy ride nipped in the butt for me. Now here's the fiesta, it seems like it can really go and it's suspension and ride are of good quality. The fit interior by far is the best design in this segment, the fiesta lacks this very important aspect. Why can't automakers get both things right instead of always falling short on one of both aspects?

  • So Ford; coupe version or sport version any time soon? Maybe a diesel? I like your car but I have no need for four doors. If you don't get your act together, I will get a golf TDI instead despite the extra cost.

  • So the Honda Fit and Fiesta are very very similar? Is the handling the same?

  • @smashbrosfan13 i have no clue. Been inside the new fiesta. It's a good car, but i don't think it's as functional as the fit. Every nook and cranny has been well thought out on the fit for storage. And it was their idea of having such a roomy and open cabin so in terms of interior space the fit wins hands down. Probably in the handling department the Fiesta might win. But day to day i don't race so I'd prefer the fit because of it's storage and usability.

  • สวยดีครับ อีกสองปีค่อยซื้อ

  • '

i dont like this ford fiesta,,,

    it is not good design

  • The only problem I have with the new cars being produced these days is the angle of the head rest. They are made for people who slouch! I am not one of them! To not have an adjustable headrest is very painful for my neck and lower back. I end up having to turn them around or taking them completely out which is not very safe. In the future I hope car manufacturers will make the headrest angle adjustable in other models.( the seat should conform to the spine making proper posture effortless

  • @savage5tofu "They are made for people who slouch!" Well because of safety now they have to keep them at that angle so it will absorb shock from a passengers head protecting them in a case of a car accident by absorbing your head energy and dissipating it which is supposed to help prevent head or neck injury. i'm sure there's a way you could adjust them to a more comfortable postion.

  • fiesta European and American and really pretty. But the fiesta is a Brazilian shit, garbage.

  • in the fiesta you will actually get more mpg in automatic then you would with manual. this car will be the best subcompact in america in almost every category. its the best looking subcompact in my opinion, and the interior is really nice. for the price, you cant beat it. im sure this car wil do great in the states. i have doubts about how well sync will work tho

  • What's the point of testing a euro spec fiesta, I seriously doubt ford will just send the car over here without any changes.

  • I disappointed it costs so much. I mean, $16k to start? For real? With automatic and other options it's probably closer to $20k. At this price, is there even a point to having the US spec Focus? Seems pricey for a 1.6L hatchback. I know it's not nearly the car the Fiesta is, but the Hyundai Accent hatchback fully loaded is $16k and that's with alloys, sunroof, and power everything. Same size motor too.

  • automatic? you serious? only pussies and grandma's use automatic. Ohh, forgot, you're an american. That figures..

  • Yep, most Americans drive automatics, ESPECIALLY old people who prefer a more laid back driving experience. So I guess Europeans who drive Mercedes, BMW, Jag, etc that only come with an automatic are pure pussy cars based on your logic. PS, I'm American and I drive a manual, you obnoxious boob.

  • automatic = no driving experience. Even a 5 yo can drive a car on automatic.

And where did you hear that Mercedes, BMW, Jag come ONLY WITH AUTOMATIC? Think you had a bad dream, asshole.

  • Do you make up this stuff as you go along? Laughable guy you are. Please, keep entertaining us all with your idiocy. If you think all Mercedes, BMW, and Jag models are available with a manual, you are talking out your rear end. Go blow hot air at someone else now little boy.

  • kid. You live in the USA. Doesn't mean we all do. I suggest you check official BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes websites and see for yourself. You fat piece of trash.

  • Fat? LOL *rolls eyes* Honey baby child, ALL models from those brands are not available with a manual trans in your country, wherever you live. Can you buy an S-class sedan with a manual? Didn't think so. Case in point.

  • yes you can buy fatty :) I told you, check their websites and stop opening your fat mouth 'cause you're just embarrassing yourself

  • @palebeachbum

Just so you know, Mercedes, BMWs, and Jags there all come with the option of a manual. If you check statistics, actually, manuals are more popular.

Still, the majority of cars in Europe are manuals. The majority of cars in North America are automatics.

I wouldn't call someone that doesn't know how to drive a manual a pussy--that's immature--but I don't think they have the right to say they can drive.

  • But its a hyundai dude...

  • I'm not sure what your point is. Hyundai is rated high these days in customer satisfaction. So the fact it's a Hyundai is nothing to scoff at. Only brand whores take issue with them these days.

  • @palebeachbum Indeed.

Back in the 80's when they first brought them to America, they were garbage.

The engines burned oil brand new off the showroom floor half the time.

Funny thing though, they still lasted a long time.

They have definitely improved the quality of their product over the years.

Not bad for a company with less then 30 years of experience.

Not bad when compared to the big auto makers who have been in business for at least 60 years.

  • very cool vid

  • the fit and the fiesta are the same. except the fiesta looks more like a catfish than the fit. i can give it a plus on the ride but the engine noise is more noiser and annoying than the fit.

  • This european designed and build ford is alot better than its japanese and korean competetors !!

  • Don't worry, Ford of America is gonna fuck this car up badly. Look at the spy shots of the Fiesta sedan...hideous.

  • Its funny how they say something very positive about euro spec cars heading for the US

But when they get here, they suck ass.

I don't think this car is any different.... just like the focus

  • The euro focus is so much different!

  • really you didn't? 0:30 - 0:34

I can get a better line-up with aftermarket parts on a completely rebuilt front-end.

besides, it's FORD so that explains it all :P

  • LMAO @ the gap between headlights and bumper cover....

    piece of shit!

  • Ford -- please do not change anything on the Euro-spec Fiesta for the US translation.

  • I can see this being the top-range in the Fiesta lineup. It looks good, and its something that would be cool to own.

  • I confirm.... That's a great toy to own... I've got my 120HP titanium 10 days ago.

  • For is probably going to downgrade this car just like the Ford Escort.

  • I really hope they don't Americanize this car, like no manual trass, auto only, crappy soft suspension, chrome wheels. all the normal crap they do, this is a really good car, leave it as is.

  • Everybody deserves a well made economy car...and that's why there is Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, and others. In all fairness I'm sure the Ford Fiesta will find it's groove with the target demographic market of 18-20 and 50-75 year olds. For a similar price why not just get something...better? And if Ford is bringing back the 'Fiesta' name...change it! Who wants to drive a 'party' around and still be taken seriously?

  • great point but then it's just like why do people like the Maserati quatraporte? Who would like to drive a "four door" around?

  • Without ford you wouldn't be driving cars now shut your trap.

  • Ford was'nt the first car.

  • For what it's worth, it did practically invent the assembly line, which allowed everyone else to mass produce cars.

  • Weakass??? 120HP with 880kg?? YOU suck!!

  • only 9.4seconds...

  • the 2 door version is going to be a KILLER tuner....its quick...can be quicker and im sure there gonna make body kits for this and all that....

  • Piece of shit!!! It's a damn FORD that's why.

  • I would take one if it came with the turbocharged engine from the Pikes Peak version. :)

  • I'd rather take the Honda Fit

  • id rather put a bullet in your brain

  • id rather you go die in a fire

  • yes, that is ford of europe, what to say, best handling cars...

  • One thing missing from the video was the mpg? Did you guys test it? Should be much better than the Honda too.

  • they didn't tell which engine they tested either but 1.6 litre is probably the one as they did 0-60 in 9.4sec. that engine can do 64mpg (about 50 USmpg)and the diesel version can probably do better(if US gets it).

  • Great comments, everyone! Thanks!

  • i agree they need muscle insted of this shitty work

  • muscle cars don't work in europe, in fact the rest of the world, they are too gas gazzling and alot of other cars can do better in it's price range.

  • sure there's plenty of european car that can do better, quicker, better fuel economy, better built etc etc...

But the car's soul is important too. Those muscle cars have plenty of soul inside that a lot of europeans car don't have...Maybe Italians cars, but still...

  • jeremy clarkson, amen =)

  • ?

    who's jeremy clarkson?

  • go to the TopGear channel, you'll know.

  • couldn't have said it better myself ;)

  • AMERICAN CARS ARE WANK! people just admit it, this is an average car in europe. AND has alot in common with all european fords....why do they sell shit in the us when they could just sell the europe spec cars.

  • it needs more power.. :)

  • bring over the focus RS!!!

  • The slalom speed of 66.1mph for a car like on this segment is very impresive.

  • 16 grand? I bought my Speed3 GT foe 23 grand! And there's NO comparison! Must be making serious profit with this compact frog.

  • Looks like you drove by Tommy's in Eagle Rock....I drive by there all the time in my Fiesta since I'm an agent in Glendale.

    Love,

    Laughtech

  • I like this better than the Fit the thing that will suck is that when more people find out about this car it's gonna be as common as a Honda Fit -__-

  • Wow! Europeans, I feel, demand more from there cars both in both interior ergonomics and visual aesthetics. I hope Ford doesn't sell itself short by selling (a sophisticated) U.S. market short. American's want, nigh, demand great interiors that look and feel sharp... Forget the playschool grade plastics. But don't forget practicality and price. Case and point this European spec Fiesta. "You can do it if you really try. But you must try, try and try... you'll succeed at last" -Jimmy Cliff

  • Damn, a subcompact costs $16 grand now?

  • I'd just get the Versa at 9,900 I don't need options I need a cheap car that won't brake down if I'm buying economy cars

  • I'd rather drive that than a honda fit any day!!!

  • The interior looks like it was designed after a Nike shoe.

  • Slow as hell, yet it has a nice interior design!

  • What took Ford so long to bring the Fiesta to North America ??? This puts the Focus to shame and Ford should have the European Focus in North America as well.

  • yap, Focus US version looks so ugly, European version Focus looks better.

  • Fortunately, the US will get the third-generation European version Focus next year.

  • They are already selling the Fiesta on my country, panama. An damn it looks good, If seen a couple of them tuned on the street, and it looks better than the focus (european spec)... sadly they sell it here with a 1.3l engine which im not sure it capable enough, any how, it looks better than the fin, and the yaris, and has a similar price. the fit its more versatile but im willing to compromise a little just because of its looks.

  • Pretty cool.

  • The car looks better in person.

  • waat??? they are bringing this over???

  • the 3 door looks better

  • I think now days quality is not that much different from brand to brand, it's not like 20 years there were a significant amount of differences. Right now, it's all about the look (exterior and interior). This new baby Ford, beats Fit any day on both exterior and interior. If Ford doesn't act fast, by the time they bring this over, Honda will come up with a new FIT, then Ford will not be able to grab the market that they are having an advantage over right now. Timing is everything!

  • i'd take this over a fit ANY day. the fit is crap all over

  • it looks like a miniature Subaru Impraza 5 door... a bit ugly... but I kinda like it... o_0

  • What if I go to a Shopping Centre and get chased by baddies in a Corvette?

What if I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?

  • Is it green? yes very

  • @anthony6151 Whoop on the topgear reference there lol

  • Now for the Fiesta ST... >:D

  • there making a big deal over a shitty car.

letting people test drive and making us jealos over shit

fords good but there going too far

  • I had one these Fiestas as a rental car for 3 days and on tarmac it's quite good, but on a small gravel road wich was quite uneven at places, it sucked.

The suspension felt rockhard over all possible dips and bumps. The whole interior of the car rattled quite severely because of this.

The worst part was the steering wheel that beat my hands numb over every bump.

I would rather walk than drive the fiesta on that road.

Glad i have an -08 Legacy that's fun tp drive on that road.

  • lol not many Fiesta owners will drive on gravel

  • I have to drive to where i live, and my home is stuck behind some twisty gravel roads, so no Fiesta for me...

The place where i live is just one of the reasons why i'm totally in love with Subarus, check out my vids to see some climpses of them...

  • what happened to brian moody?

  • wheels are to small

  • so i take it this will replace the focus? if not, someone should make a ford focus vs fiesta to make point out the difference

  • I dont really think it'll replace it. this fiesta is a 2009 model and the next focus will be released after 2010 so probably no.

  • This is smaller than a focus. It wont replace it. They are 2 different categories.

  • This is a different from the focus. It will not replace it. It is a smaller car than the Focus and competes with the Honda Fit VW polo and other small cars.

  • Nah dude, this won't replace the Focus.

Basically Focus is a compact, like Civic, Cobalt, Corolla and the Sentra. While the Fiesta is sub-compact which will compete with the Fit, Aveo, Yaris and Versa.

  • ohh ok, thanks for the info. geez, all i did was ask a simple question and i get 2 thumbs down already? wheres the beef?

  • If it makes you feel any better MP5Wes I upped it :)

  • why did the hazards come on wen there were braking lol

  • One was in front of me in the left hand turn lane, thing wasn't ballsy enough to make it across and to wait a while.

  • They give permonance numbers, but didn't tell what engine was under the hood.

It comes with 6 engines in Europe.

  • thats what the links are for in the side bar

  • Its a 1.6 gas engine. Dont expect the diesels to come to the US.

  • you wouldn't want that cuz it's probably shit! - top gear Jeremy Clarkson

  • Clarkson is an ass when it comes to diesels. One day he says how powerful quiet and smooth a certain diesel engine is and a later he says diesels suck again.

  • There is a choice of 2 diesels, but 4!!! petrol engines.

  • LOL That line is about as old as the crust in your underwear.

  • Wow, I can see that I hit a sore spot there. Anyway I was just kidding (maybe).

  • Found On Road Daily with your crusty, smellie underwear. LOL just kidding man.

  • LOL peace man!

  • And I can tell you that is as far from teh truth as you can possibly get.

  • How old are you? You must not know a lot about cars. Because CR rated ford's reliabilty equally with toyota's. fail.

  • That's an awesome car, glad they're bringing more Euro designs into America. You want to see what this car is really capable of? Watch Top Gear's Fiesta road test lol. Clarkson invaded a fucking beach with it!

  • I saw that too with the Beach invasion.

I hope they learn from this and bring more stuff like the Focus RS and whatnot from Europe.

  • Yea we've been asking for it for years. Now that they're finally doing it with the Fiesta I think they'll sell a lot of these. I'd love to see some Euro Focuses go stateside!

  • i seen this car by the ford plant.

  • nice

  • Wow equipment of a Mini but price of a Fit... this will be a huge success.

  • the mini is much faster, better looking and comes with more features

  • but for more

  • cool

  • First! =D

lol just kidding! i love this fiesta, i hope ford brings ALL their european models, they would be saved from this economy with such great cars!!

  • no you aarent

  • lmao
