Thank you very much! Muito obrigado! The “normal” people of Maderia gave me already many thanks by making every visit there to one of the nicest experiences of my live. Leaving Madeira always make me sad. Tenho saudades da Madeira.
@donamaro Such a beautiful place to live. You are lucky. I live in the plains of the US, just flat grassland in every direction and so much civilization...not much to look at.
One question, do most of the people there speak English? I know Portuguese is the native language. But perhaps I could start to learn Portuguese though :)
@Maggot1750 No, I'm not so lucky! I live in Germany! It's winter now and frost at night :-) But I speak Portuguese fluently. I travelled a lot when young. Madeira has incredible lots of things to look at. The video is a "best of" but the rest is also paradise. Yes, most tourists come from Germany and England. So lots of People speak English and it's a small country. Most children have been growing up with subtitled films. So at least the "bad words" are best known :-) Regards Jörg

Great video of Madeira! On behalf of the 'normal' citizens of Madeira we want to thank you for this exhibition of our island.
And I hope that the people that are responsible for the promotion of the island will learn from this and, at least, send you a note of appreciation.
