@Casillas304 The usual way to become a GM ks to attainin a FIDE rating of at least 2500 and do well in at least two over-the-board, FIDE-sanctioned tournaments which feature GMs from countries other than your own. There are other ways as well: the World Junior champion is automatically awarded the title, for example.

There's nothing you can do on the ICC that will earn you a title.

@Nola213 I'm not very high rated, about 1350 now, but I can tell you that I have had some cool shock victories against much higher rated players (eg. 1800, 2100, etc.) and my method is to play the same way you would any other player. Don't be intimidated into playing differently because of the rating. When I see that I'm against a much stronger player I just think to myself they might just have got out the wrong end of bed, they are human and can make mistakes.
