Not to get political, but the combined cost of the Bush/Obama bailouts in '45 dollars would be b/w $150B and $300B. The estimated total cost of WWII to the US falls right in the middle of that range. Too wide a range of figures out there to nail down a solid amount on the bailouts, and to go back to the beginning, its late. Numbers/stats geek.

This is a great interview. The entire material is fascinating. But I think the best and most intriguing aspect is the last 10 or so minutes with the discussion of the re-unification of Germany as "one people" with then being in a "elastic" position to be the power-house within a "united Europe" as we see the movement today with the Euro and movement toward a united Euro-Federation. Joseph Farrell has very interesting & accurate ideas, many original. Just one quibble; he appears to make a rather fundamental historical error. Hitler's Wermacht did indeed come close to capturing Moscow in 1941 (WWII). But the German army drive southwards was not a blunder. It desperately needed to capture the oil of the Caucasian oilfields. It failed, & the German war machine just gradually slowed to a stop. According to David Irving, Hitler despaired. "Now we have lost the war."
