Lamborghini became a subsidiary of audi, which is a subsidiary of Volkswagen, in 1998. audi, a german manufacturer, manufacturers ALL lambos overseas. aside from privately held audi, another interesting fact is that lambo was sold by Chrysler in 1994. also, they didn't start making the Murciélago until 2001, 3yrs after being sold to audi.
