OH my gosh, whatever. They are like Puyi. Manchus were first happy that their homeland was reclaimed and were vividly part of the Imperial Japanese government. They were determined to kick all the Han people out of Manchuria. Then, the Japanese empire lost and Manchuria was destroyed. Suddenly, they wag their tails to the Han Chinese claiming that they were the victims. This is an insult to the real Manchu people. Manchuria belongs to manchu people. Not the Hans. Cheers!

@akibem1 Yes you can comment this, but all that you commented are subjective assumes. You might hear something through the Japanese, or some so-called “Manchus” in Japan, but note that they're not Manchus, or at least they do no longer speak Manchu language. When somebody told you something in Japanese language, to what extent will you think it to be truth?

@YohanCn But I think the Manchus should own up to what they did in WW2. Koreans were collaborators, Taiwanese were. Thais were and many. Japan lost. So Japan had to take responsibility. Own up to your action I want to say to the Manchus. I believe they are using Japanese blaming tool. I am not denying the Japanese brutality against the Hans on Mainland. IT was HORRIFIC. @akibem1 If you read more about the history, you'll know that Japanese were not only brutal to Han Chinese, but also Manchus, Taiwanese Indegenous, Mongols and Ryukyuans. Listen what that old Manchu woman tells. See my comments in /watch?v=r6feJr-bJ5w and search “Okinawa Mass Suicide”. And till now Japanese forbid Ryukyuans to speak Ryukyuan languages, and forced them to speak “Okinawan Japanese” (沖縄大和口), a mixture of Okinawan Ryukyuan and Standard Japanese.

@YohanCn I understand what you are saying. However, you have to understand what I'm saying too. It is unfortunate that the Manchus lost their culture due to the Han dominance. From my perspective though, Manchus volunteered to cooperate with the Japanese. Japanese were brutal to the Hans on the Mainland. But not in Taiwan. See what I'm saying? I'm not disagreeing about Japanese brutality against the Chinese.

@akibem1 But the fact is - Manchus lost their culture due to the Japanese invasion and pressures from the Eight-Countrys-Alliance. In fact Han Chinese tried to save the Manchu culture, and have succeed to save some of them. Indeed there were a few Manchu “volunteered” to cooperate with the Japanese, and even there were a few Han Chinese “volunteered” to cooperate with the Japanese, but eventually they're killed, cheated and used by Japanese (the death of Wang Jingwei is an example).

as a minor ethnic group in china, Manchus chose to adapt Han culture and traditions by themselves. cuz they are so under populated compare to the size of Hans. but Hans culture has been influenced by Manchus as well. the Mandarine we speak now is sort of mix languages of Han chinese and Manchus. Again, Manchus are really think they are the great and welcomed part of Great Chinese Family.
