  • I'd love to hear Roots Manuva and Mos Def on a song together

  • @xnightofragex yeah i never thought of that till then but that would be amazing

  • @xnightofragex this is pretty much all there is as for now ..... search for ZombieMashup - Loz - Mos Def - Roots Manuva

  • @xnightofragex

    agree

  • @xnightofragex fuck yeah - why hasn't this happened yet?

  • right on danvidigal88. this aint as good as witness though.

  • "Whats the song about? Whats the song about? Whats it mean?

I dont know what the fuck it means, im just singing aint I?"

Should be every artists response, the music can speak for itself.

  • @furfeyl are you retarded? the music cant speak for itself, it may sound good but if he asnt actually written it with any intended metaphor or message then what can the music actually say? thats like saying you like to have toast with chocolate spread but not actually put it on, just imagine it would be there and it would taste nice. dick.

  • @mattsainsot obviously he had an idea of what he wanted the song to be about, but your misinterpreting what i said, i meant that an artist shouldnt have to say what his work means, each individual listener should get something different out of it and should be able to stand on their own 2 feet and interpret it rather than going to the artist and asking what exactly he meant, what the song means to Root Manuva might be completely different than what another person gets out of it

  • Comment removed

  • @furfeyl best thing I've read in my life I always tought that people who cares a lot about lyrics do not enjoy the song, art is art it is not made for the other persons, like you said music speaks for itself.

  • @furfeyl it means nothing, just let the spirit move man!

  • @furfeyl

    Are you stupid?

  • @YellowUmbrellaFilms mind explaining the meaning of your comment a little bit?

  • @furfeyl I've never known what a single song I've written is about.

  • @bongrocker you cant, there cant be any set definition to the meaning of a song, or any art for that matter cause people interpret things differently

  • @furfeyl it's whatever the artist felt it was. but ur right... everybody will interpret things in there own according to how they feel.

  • @saintsmurf and in this case he clearly doesnt know either ;) ha love Roots, good flow

  • @furfeyl haha. thats true. he was just flowin on this shit. lol.

  • 13 people need to let the spirit move them.

  • i like how he forgets how many kids hes got lol, but its a sick song

  • If i had to pick one UK artist from a list it would be Manuva , I would kill to here Manuva and MF DOOM rip on the same E.P

    Much much love for Manuva!

  • @ghostfaced1 agreed, that would be worth killing for. it's probably not news to you, but they both appear on separate quality tracks on Demon Days by Gorillaz (Damon Albarn has ace taste in hip hop collabs), and they've both guested on individual Herbaliser tracks, but to have them bouncing off each other's rhymes would be something else. like when i first heard Aesop Rock and Doom on the same track i almost spaffed my man jam

  • Guys - If you are looking to hear a true artist who talks on a spirıtual level that you may not be able to comprehend - Lısten to AKALA (BRITISH) ... On the mentalıty of ROOTS MANUVA!! Peace

  • zajebisty kawałek

  • if anyone has two minutes, i've put a track of mine, 'The Cardinal's Vino' by Bachelor Fox, up as a video response above. Manuva has been an influence on some of my rapping, although my track's not that similar to his stuff - i ended up making observations on Catholicism with a darker mood (proper video on its way). cheers

  • @bachelorfox observations on catholicism lmao who do you think you are

  • @Jobizzie eh? you ok?

  • @bachelorfox flagged for spam

  • @furfeyl 'flagged for spam'? i don't like trying to hype a track of mine on youtube, but thought it wouldn't hurt to do it for once, sue me for wanting to get heard. a couple of people listened and hit the like button out of choice, which is encouraging. a couple of people got sand in their vaginas, which is too bad, hope they can wash it out

  • justice

  • roots a true prophet man..wicked dubbeats plus razor sharp incivise acessib;e lyrics..GIMEE THE DUB MAN!

  • Can i lnow what he said before the music ?

  • @RahXephon94 He's basically saying that when he dies, he's had two wives and four children - so St. Peter is going to tell him that he can't enter heaven and has to go join Beelzebub.

  • @sreedhar69 Thanks you

  • could sb upload the instrumental ?

  • Great track from a great album

  • its not just the awesome lyrics that is different to the american shit of today, its the beats, the beats are way different and WAY better.

  • @tokerfuels1 Rubbish.

  • @BIuejay

    Wrong.

  • One time I met him in a Concert in Berlin.I was so exited that I said :You are great, you are the best british rapper I know.Than he gave me a sign and I´m just gone.

What I want to say:He is a great rappper and entertainer, and its difficault to say anything if you meet a true rapper like him...

    greetings from germany

  • You know, I like the bollshy braggodoccio of ganster rap. I mean, who hasnt been poor, and had to hustle to live, and relied on his friends, and banged hot girls, and got drunk and smoked ounces, andbeen in trouble with the police, and pissed off their parents, and taken solace in music, and had to fight their enemies and the evil in themselves, & tried to come out on top and be cool and achieve their goals and blahblahblah? I rate Snoop and Dre etc for that. Whoever said gangster rap was dead?

  • Like the analogue synth vibe in this, specially that gentle pad over the top that comes in occassionally, wonder if its a bit of a homage to those boys in new york that pioneered hip hop, fuck it i like the tune so it don't matter just curious I spose.

  • Roots Manuva 4 life! Big Up!

  • I wanna see 29th chapter with this guy

  • I am so in love with this song, it is brilliant!

  • god bless him!

  • Why o why didn't pick up on this tune earlier, never the less its gone straight into my favorites now ..feeling this tune big time

  • Where can I get the lyrics to this song??

  • ROOTS = GOD . lol

  • oh man his such a lovely man, down too earth non of this "i am god " crap x

  • Idk. the proper gangsta bull shit was done a long time ago contradictorily when the people who knew it was bullshit did it anyway and yet it still spoke for a generation. Just ignore anything after 1997, I guess.

  • Manuva ownz

  • lol he's like a black ali g :L when he's not singing

  • I really like this. I'm gonna download! :D

  • Roots Manuva came back strong with this album.
