Go back and take a listen to Transistor, Blue, and Grassroots. We can even throw in Soundsystem as well for good measure. Then go ahead and listen to this album. This new album has absolutely no energy or vibe at all, its just a clean cut pro tools album without any characteristics. Bob Rock on anything as of late just spells disaster. He screwed up Metallica, and 311 joins the long list of victims. They need to get the vibe back, and fast.
@damnationdefied777 They only used Bob Rock for uplifter and even that wasn't too terrible. You can tell they went back to the drawing bored with this album though.
@Ferebee311 The reason why people say 311 is done is because they don't attract any new, younger audiences that are used to measure a bands popularity. The fan's ages grow with the band and stick with them. The people in their 20's that started listening to 311 never stopped.. but they're all in their 30's now and that's not the age group used to measure a bands existence... 311 will always have fans and will never be done with songs/albums like this!

My least favorite still being the last two, but From Chaos, Evolver, and Don't Tread On Me grew on me. I hated all of them for not being Music or Grassroots...but I'm not alone. They have a strong audience that appreciates the full discography, not that common a feat after over two decades.
