Hi Linkage6...not really, maybe a little more, but since I didn't remove the entire baffle I didn't notice much. I have since gone to Hard Krome "Strippers", and did have to rejet it.
i did this to my shadow but it didnt sound quite right yet soooo......... i used a wet ban saw and cut the whole muffler of off both pipes. it was louder but too high pitched so i fabed up two tubes to match the diamiter of the pipes and welded them on. it took the sound from put put soft(stock) to put put loud (holesaw) to pow pow(no mufler to loud) to Wub wub wub wub( just right! i used black exuhast wrap on them ( can be found anywhere high performance parts are bought) and they look great.

Did u get any poping or back firing afterwards, and did you have to rejet or make any adjustments to the air fuel screws?

jc1003, look for "Mutazu" on Ebay, or just search for hard saddlebags. You'll be shocked at how cheap they are...I really like mine.

Where did you get the saddle bags? Been looking for something like that for my 2007 Shadow Spirit. Nice job!
